Needs an update.
Neat little program, but the MIDI and Audiobus integration are flawed. I can’t get the program to receive any MIDI signals from AUM, and it won’t even load in Audiobus. Otherwise, great app.
Audiobus compatibility misleading - avoid
As a fan of all things granular and experimental, I liked the look of this devs apps for their sideways take on sound manipulation, so when I saw Megacurtis Big had been updated to AudioBus compatibility, I took the plunge. Big mistake.
It technically does load into AudioBus, but if you thought that meant you could use that to route it into AUM, think again. Can’t be done.
Also, the app remains very crashy on my IPad Air 2018 running the current IPad OS 14.3; the interface is fiddly, and when it works, it operates, at best, as a minor subset of some of the functionality offered by the vastly superior Samplr.
If the dev manages to get proper IAA compatibility working, then I will revise this review, but for now, this is too much money for very little useful app. Avoid.

Ultra granular classic
The bigger bro to Curtis, and a nice sampling grain synth! I love all the old apps and they are crying for updates so let’s hope this is just the start. I mean donut was my favorite app. Anyhow this app is as glorious or twisted as your imagination seeks.
Not impressed
Update: With no update in 2 years, still no note hold, text font still ridiculously small, no new features of any kind. Why would I risk $9.99 on Soup Granular and again risk have this developer abandoning it too?

It's not an update. It's a separately sold app. Without note hold it hand cuffs your ability to do much since you have one hand tied up holding keys. The sound still has no punch.

Innovative and still improving
Already getting interesting results from this innovative app. Next update would love to see the following; State saving under AudioBus, automatic restoration of last state/ loaded file in-app, Ableton Link support, and BIGGER CONTROLS. At the moment they text is way too small for comfortable use. The space is there, please use it!
