Updated app layout. Bug fixes and general enhancements to your Memories experience.

User reviews

Doesn’t sort well, not user friendly

I’ve been trying to use this to track my important memories, even paying the extra for the lifetime membership. I can even get anything to show up correctly now, and even when it was working it didn’t sort correctly. I would add stuff and then couldn’t find it. Good idea, but poorly executed.

Beware storing precious moments in app w lack of support and responsiveness

You can invite family from the app. Have to go online
Support and responsiveness non existent
App is slow to upload changes tells me poor infrastructure
Requested pw reset and still waiting days
Feels like this app has been abandoned and I’m nervous to commit precious memories here

Gary Coates, Cousin

Gary Coates is my cousin. I have known him my entire life. His mother Virginia Ebi Coates and my mother, Mary Lou Palmer were first cousins. The Coates lived in Westchester, California and Palmer's lived in Ladera Heights, California. For those that don’t know where in California this is, it is located not far from the LOS ANGELES (LAX) Airport.

Gary was a very sweet and polite youngster. I can see him in my mind with suit and tie at one of our numerous family get togethers. He was standing tall with his ever present smile. Even though I am only one year younger I probably wasn’t his favorite playmate. I would pin him down and kiss him. Everyone thought it was cute except Gary. As the years passed we became good friends and he would always tell me I was his favorite cousin. He is my favorite cousin and was the last living relative on my mother’s side of the family.

We both attended California State College in Northridge. I recently found and read a diary from 1968. There were numerous notations of our getting together, his feeding his little cousin and a Russian geography class we took together. I am sure he got an A but I got a D even though the diary noted that we studied together regularly.

After graduation Gary moved to Colorado and I would call him often. I told him if he didn’t call I would call him collect. And I did, and he accepted.
In those days there were no cell phones and long distance phone calls were charged by the minute.

In later years after he married Robin and started a family we didn’t see each other much or talk as often. He was in Florida and I remained in Southern California. A few years ago Jim and I flew to Florida for a cruise. We drove to Boca Ratan and had a wonderful visit and lunch on the pier.

I still called him at PMA. The lady would ask who was calling and I would say this is his cousin, Carol. He would always accept my calls. By this time I didn’t have to call collect. Gary called my house a couple of times in Fallbrook a few years ago and left the most loving messages and wishing us a Happy Thanksgiving. I never erased his messages and when I listening to new messages I listen to Gary’s. His beautiful smile and love for his favorite cousin comes through on these recordings and will ever be imbedded in my brain and heart.

I look forward to seeing this sweet loving man in Heaven in his suit and tie, standing tall with the most welcoming smile. Favorite cousin Rest In Peace. I love you and will miss knowing you are no longer a phone call away.

PS: Gary was a family man. Family meant everything to him. Robin and his children enriched his life beyond words. My deepest sympathy to each and every one.
