Captioning and Translation not working on even g2 realities mentraOS 3.0

MentraOS 2.0 or whatever the previous update was worked quite well; the transcription of my target language was good, and punctuation and diarisation was relatively high quality. The translation function lacked translation for my target language, but I expected that to be fixed with MentraOS3.0.

However, mentraOS3.0 with my Even realities g2 is not working at all. Neither transcription nor translation appear to be even connecting properly. Specifically, the translation and transcription text is not showing up in the miniapp nor the glasses UI. Instead it keeps saying connection lost.

Seems really great, waiting for G2

Good but can improve

iOS on boarding issues

there is no way for me to use the product out of the box because the pairing set up. I see everything connected to via Bluetooth and then within the app it says open settings to pair and wait till it is connected. I do that but nothing updates on the app there's no other button to press other than open the settings again it's very frustrating. I look forward to hearing back from the Dev team. I will be following up with a GitHub issue.

Garbage app (for now)

It could be a lot better than the first party garbage. But this is all we got as early adopters.

Great for translations

I moved to my wife’s native country without knowing the local language. I got a pair of Even Realities G1, and I was very disappointed with the software experience on it. The translations never worked great. With MentraOS I was able to follow the conventions that were happing when we visited my wife’s relatives. Only time I had issues was with poor internet connectivity, but not much MentraOS can do about that.
