Seems really great, waiting for G2

Good but can improve

iOS on boarding issues

there is no way for me to use the product out of the box because the pairing set up. I see everything connected to via Bluetooth and then within the app it says open settings to pair and wait till it is connected. I do that but nothing updates on the app there's no other button to press other than open the settings again it's very frustrating. I look forward to hearing back from the Dev team. I will be following up with a GitHub issue.

Garbage app (for now)

It could be a lot better than the first party garbage. But this is all we got as early adopters.

Much quicker startup

The biggest hurdle with the standard G1 software is the number of steps to go through before captioning will happen. With the Mentra, you just start te app, wait few seconds for the initial connection and ready to caption. Awesome! And it captions multiple languages at the same time. I speak both Dutch and English and you can just mix it up and voilá.

Best Smart Glasses App

Best smart-glasses app I’ve used so far. Clean and fast.

Great SDK

I used the Mentra SDK to build apps for smart glasses. It's really very seamless and intuitive.

Happy for an open source option

There’s still some bugs, but it’s early for this team. Excited that they’re keeping the entire operating system open source. Keep up the good work!

Runs smooth

Mentra runs smoother than the Even Realities OS. It can get slow if you're running too many of their miniapps at the same time. though

Great for Travel

I’ve been using Mentra OS during international travel, and the translation feature has been genuinely helpful for communicating with people who don’t speak my language. It’s made everyday interactions much smoother.

The Merge app has also been useful for getting quick, real-time information when I need it. Overall, it’s been a solid and practical experience.

Nice to have app options

I’ve been using the Mentra OS on my Even Realities and it’s nice to have the ability to choose new apps to use for different scenarios. Looking forward to Mentra’s own glasses release.

Better than ER app

Everything about it is better than the even realities app. It’s promising. I hear there’s some cool updates rolling out at the end of the year.

This has potential

This concept of what this app COULD be is great. Although there requires a lot of fine tuning. None of the features actually worked for me. The latency is ridiculous.

The Live translation app

The Live translation app 1.0 is currently unstable. The Vietnamese font displays incorrectly when shown on the Even Reality glasses. While the app successfully display transslated text on the phone, it fails to display the text on the glasses.

Has potential

Constantly disconnects, quite buggy. Wanted merge to work but constantly crashes. Wish we could get notifications as well

Mentra OS- evenrealities

The translate app doesn’t seem to be functioning. The transcription app works very well. Still a lot of kinks to work out it seems.
