Almost - But not quite

I am writing regarding an issue with the display of tasks within the application. I purchased the subscription ($10) based on the clear, full task visibility shown in your product videos, but my experience is very different.

1. Task Display Truncation: Currently, the main task view is extremely limited, only showing a few initial characters of the task I input. This makes it impossible to know what the task is without clicking into it every time. This is a significant decrease in productivity.

2. Usability and Efficiency: The current small display format and heavy truncation add unnecessary steps to my workflow. I was expecting the task view to be much larger and more informative, aligning with the previews I saw.

3. Requested Action: I urgently request a fix to this display issue so that the full task description is viewable in the main interface, as advertised. If this core functionality cannot be delivered, I will require a full refund of my $10 subscription fee. I am truly excited about this tool and would prefer a fix over a refund.

Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Response from developer

Hi Abagail, you're absolutely right, thank you for the feedback. All display issues have been resolved in v5.0. Tasks now show full-width text, more lines, a larger window, and zero truncation in detail view. We hope you enjoy the update and that it delivers the 5-star experience you deserve!

Great Idea, but Laggy and missing common features

Updated to 5* simply due to developer response. I haven’t found the time to check out the changes, but anyone who responds that quickly and adds requested features deserves a 5 :)

Tldr; Editing existing tasks takes 1.5 seconds to pull up the edit screen, tasks cannot be dragged/dropped, and tasks are tied to specific days even when incomplete.

Just looking for a TODO list app with similar features to gTasks that I can use in the menu bar. Came across this and was hopeful as the calendar based approach seemed to be useful, however after day 2 of using it I’m already looking to switch. I can’t remember the last time I wanted a task in TODO to not move to the next day if I don’t get it done. I really don’t want to spend several minutes each morning slowly editing tasks from one day to the next. If it was quick, that’d be fine. If it allowed TODOs to have deadlines in the tool and moved incomplete items from day to day, that’d be fine. But without either, this app causes more challenges than it solves for me.

Response from developer

Thanks so much for the detailed feedback 🙌 With the 4.0 update, all the concerns you mentioned have been addressed: ⚡ Task editing now opens instantly 🖱️ Drag-and-drop functionality is here 🔁 Incomplete tasks can now auto-roll over to the next day (optional) We totally understand your initial frustration, but the app has come a long way since then. We'd love for you to give it another try — hopefully, it’ll feel like a 5-star experience now! 🆙 Thanks again for the update — really means a lot! 🙏 Your original feedback helped shape the latest version, and I’ll keep working to improve the app and bring more of the features you were looking for. Hope it’ll be an even better fit when you give it another go!
