Terrible for mortgage payments
This app is almost unusable to pay my mortgage. I bank with a different bank and Merchants services my mortgage loan. I basically have to relearn how to find my monthly payment and how to transfer money to pay my monthly mortgage. It also didn’t get my monthly escrow right for my first six months in my new home and now my escrow has gone up significantly. I am VERY unhappy with Merchants Bank and their app.

Can’t really call it an app when 90%of the time it refuses to let me log in just sits and loads for hours until I final get a useless error msg even when you call the number the app provides nothing changes worst bank app to date.

i’m not downloading two separate apps to do my banking through my single account. that is absolutely ridiculous. stop forcing me to overload my phone with superfluous bloatware and more possible points of failure for my financial security. not to mention, the second app that i’m supposed to use doesn’t even show up in the App Store for me to download so what am i supposed to do? call customer service every time i want to pay my credit card?

The new update is awful. The older version was way easier to read and easier on the eyes.
Excellent Bank
We’ve been with Merchants Bank for 30 + years. Service and customer appreciation is always the most important. We do all our banking at Merchants. Highly recommended.
Can’t use Face ID
I’ve tried multiple times to get Face ID to work and it always fails. Poor app but it’s all we have. Needs major IT help.
Erratic, but useful when it works.
When it works, it’s a helpful piece of software. However, I find that it is extremely finicky. Certain pages or functions will not work when accessed from one button, but will from the same button in another context. Access denied errors abound. Logging in is a constant struggle with a vpn on. But, as I say, if you can get it to work, it does the job.

This has been the worst banking experience we have ever had. Local bank employees have been phenomenally friendly. That being said, the online banking experience, customer service, credit card service, and capabilities have not come close to meeting our expectations. What has been advertised and explained has been extremely misleading and very disappointing. As a small business, we were referred to Merchants by a much more reputable banking service as the “go to banking service for small businesses” as they have many added fees for small businesses. That being said, we will be switching to the banking service who referred us to Merchants.

Misleading
When you pay-off the amount shown as a balance on a line-of-credit it should be as of that moment. In this day and time I shouldn’t be getting a notice of a balance due of interest the next day. There’s no excuse for the pay-off shown to not be as of that moment inclusive of incurred interest to that point and not exclusive. Otherwise, Pay-off is an incorrect term. I shouldn’t have to call in to the loan department to find out exactly what the pay-off REALLY is!

Easy to use.

Great local bank
All people would be far better off if they support their local banks. Services offered are equal to better that national bank branches.
MerchantsBank is the worst.
MerchantsBank is thee worst bank I have ever worked with. Actual location is open short hours (never open outside of my working hours) and their online banking is sloooooow. It takes days for them up update “immediate” transactions.

It's an ok app
I've had this app for around 2 years now and it seems to be the only app I have had the most trouble with. It seems like when I am not in a urge to access It, it lets me right in. When I need to get in quickly it needs to send me a confirmation code via text. The ratio I give it for letting me in easily is 25% it will let me in no problem. 25% it won't. The other 50% is the next issue I'm gonna explain and that is it's just down or not working most of the time. It says an error occurred when I try to log in and it's a guessing game of when the app will be working again. There's never a email/notification of if the app is down or when it will be back up. Overall the AP is ok but definitely needs improvements
