Mercy Chaplet

The Chaplet of Divine Mercy, guided one prayer per screen, with a count of consecutive days. ONE PRAYER PER SCREEN You never have to look for what comes next. Five decades: the offering to the Father on the large bead, the plea for mercy on the ten, and at the end the "Holy God" three times. Ten minutes. THREE WAYS TO PRAY • By tapping — you advance with a button. • Follow my voice — the microphone follows your recitation, the text lights up word by word, and the screen advances on its own. • Pray with me — the app's voice recites aloud and moves to the next bead after the last word. Speech recognition happens entirely on the device: the audio is never recorded and never sent anywhere. THE DAYS IN A ROW The app counts the consecutive days on which you prayed the Chaplet. There is no goal to reach and it never ends. A day counts once: praying twice in a day is good, but the day is still one. If a whole day passes without the Chaplet, the streak starts again from zero. THE SILENCE When the prayer is over there are five minutes of silence — shorten it or turn it off in Settings. At the end the voice says Amen, and it can be heard even with the ringer off and the phone in your pocket. Today's Chaplet is already recorded when the silence begins: leaving early never costs you the day. THREE IN THE AFTERNOON The hour Jesus died on the cross. The Diary of Saint Faustina calls it "the hour of great mercy for the whole world". The daily reminder starts there, and can be moved to any hour: the streak counts the day, not the time. WHERE IT COMES FROM The Chaplet was given to Sister Faustina Kowalska at Vilnius between 13 and 14 September 1935. The app tells her story and quotes the Diary, each quotation with its paragraph number beside it, so that anyone who wishes can check. THREE LANGUAGES Italian, English, Romanian. The prayer language is independent of the menu language: if your phone is in English you can still pray in Italian without changing the menus. FOR EYES THAT TIRE Text enlarges across three levels on top of Dynamic Type, there is a light and a dark theme, and every screen is read by VoiceOver. NO ACCOUNT, NO SERVER Everything stays on the device. No sign-up, no syncing, no advertising, no analytics. The app works with no connection at all. The fundamental prayers follow the liturgical translations in use; the prayers proper to the Chaplet follow the text published by the Congregation of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy.
