why am i forced to watch ads before i can use the product i already purchased

It’s a cool light. Opting for using the remote because playing constant ads on an app to turn the lights on/off is crazy work.

I like it nice colors makes my room look good but man this Bluetooth sucks I’ve had this light before never had an issue then bought it again I can only use it one time on my phone and the Bluetooth no longer wants to connect it just says failed to connect I’m not far from it so not sure what the problem is this is a huge turn off for me

watch ads to use your lights
in what universe is it acceptable to force people to watch ads in order to use a lamp that they paid for?
i would have ignored it if they were simple banner ads but they take up the entire screen and force you to sit there and wait before you can turn your lights on. incredibly greedy and i will not be buying any more products from this company.

The app allows customisation that wasn’t achievable with only the remote but sadly those features are sorely lacking. The colour wheel is an amazing way to get more specific colours and work well for shades of blue and purple while only decent with the pinks and greens, they are missing some spectrum, example: when it comes to light greens as a lot of if is shows up almost white. The yellows, oranges and reds though? Practically non existent. Orange is either shows up as a very light yellow or a deep orange, there isn’t much in between and most of the red spectrum just becomes magenta 2.0. The yellow is practically white all the way until you reach its most saturated point, only then is it yellow.
One of my other problems is with the DIY section, I can’t find a way to edit what’s already been made which feels very necessary when there is no preview option either. I also wish you could have the dynamic frames copy and paste over so I wouldn’t have to save 100 colours every time or maybe even a “recently used” section for the colours would do.
I truly hope this review is used to help improve the app because the I’m emotionally attached to these lights now and would love if they were just improved instead of me having to admit defeat and throw these ones away for new ones.

The app is horrible to use, I can’t connect to my actual lamp 9/10.
Does the job but…
So as the title says, the app does the job however it has numerous issues. You often have to close it and reopen it as it decides it doesn’t want to connect to your Bluetooth device on the first attempt. Despite the fact this app is for a product you’ve already purchased with money I’m not sure why it has constant spammy ads plastered all over it. When I’ve paid for a product that has app functionality I do not expect to have a dodgy ad pop up that “you’ve been visiting too many adult websites and your account has been blocked.” … The developers of this app seriously need to do better in this regard as it’s not acceptable considering they’ve already had money, hence why this app has been downloaded in the first place.

How is it I buy a product that comes with this app and it has ads before I can actually turn the lamp on and off. Poor poor design for this.
Popup Ads!
Every time you want to adjust your light, boom pop up add and need to wait five seconds to skip. I already paid for the lamp, and the app requires no servers that would cost money. Unfortunately if you made it this far you probably already bought the lamp, but hopefully not too late to return it.
helpful app, annoying ads
It lets you have a lot of control over the light but it has a forced wait for an ad as soon as you start the app so you can’t even turn the lamp on without an ad if you are across the room

Extremely disappointed
Lights’ connection to WiFi immediately fails and cannot reconnect. I’m extremely upset I wasted my money on these lights.

Why do we even have to connect to these stupid things the other apps that I download do not have to connect they should make it like this so I don’t spend 30 minutes of my life trying to connect the stupid hexagon lights to my phone in reality. It just turns back off and I have to do it again.
