This is a great app! I would buy this 100 times over again, the only thing that gives it a four out of five star is that there are some gross ads😭😭 like someone burning their toenail off😭😭 *very disturbing

Unusable due to ads
This app is a complete waste of time with its constant and unrelenting advertisements. I had to delete it just to stay sane. You can hardly look up two words without being bombarded with full-screen ads that can’t be closed unless you follow the link or completely close out the app and reopen it to start again. It’s just not worth the hassle.

The ads in the free version are intolerable and frequent. Big yikes. As bad as the ads are, why would I agree to pay just to not be annoyed? It’s some weird kind of bullying. And charging for an app when you can just use a browser?… or pay for Oxford instead?… It’s a crime. Experiment complete, app deleted.

The best dictionary of American English!
This dictionary has maintained quality through the enormous changes brought on by the internet. Lineal descendant of Noah Webster’s company. I still have my paper edition of Merriam Webster Third Edition from the 60’s on India paper. The premier dictionary app for those who love the language.

Bummer a Dictionary doesn't Update its Language Quizzes
Half the reason I decided to shell-out $10.- for an annual subscription was for the supposed daily word play quizzes: Vocabulary, True/False, and What is this thing?. But these quizzes NEVER UPDATE, basically once you've played each 'easy, medium, hard' section, it is just the same all day everyday, which is disappointing in general, but Particularly in a DICTIONARY app; typical LAZY, instant automated Tech Blech Cash Grab nonsense. Sad. I expect better from Merriam-Webster...
