Hands down the best mesh network system
This app is incredibly easy to use and backed by a huge community. I use it when camping and to keep in touch with my house when I’m out in the mountains.
Bug report
Environmental telemetry over mesh is patchy, sometimes it shows up most the time it doesn’t. When directly connected it works perfect. My radios are RAK.

most recent update has caused so many problems - laggy interface, constant crashing… i just want it to work since i can’t install the previous version

Ugh. Meshtastic ran fine for me. This latest update is chock full of bugs though. Map keeps recentering to South Pacific Ocean. Incoming messages don’t update unless I back out and back into channel. Doesn’t reconnect to my device half the time.
Really wish I could downgrade. Hope they fix this soon!

This app is not working Ios 18.21 Newest meshtastic dl app crashes when a message is sent on BT and TLS
Zero stars not compatible with iOS versions it flagshiped with
Have to drop a low score. It requires you to update now to iOS 17. It worked fine on iOS 16 on my past devices. I had to reset my phone and redownload everything and the app refuses to install. Need to have some compatibility. Meshtastic programmers need to get it together and support compatibility. I’m running a brand new iPhone SE3 so my phone is not old.

This app is so broken. Laggy, doesn’t load sometimes, refreshes node list seemingly at random locking the entire phone up. Love the protocol, hate the app

Version 2.7.13 breaks messaging
Maybe it's only on iOS 18, I don't know, but how are you going to release an update that completely breaks the whole purpose of your app? I can neither view nor send messages after this new update.

So i could connect and configure my handheld heltec v4, this pos app made delete all app data… WHY?!!?
Unstable
Meshtastic is a nice project, but the app itself is very unstable. The iOS client is a disgrace and, frankly, somewhat shameful. Connection hangs, disconnects, and crashes are typical over BLE, and the same applies to Wi-Fi. I tested it with two different nodes and various firmware versions. The issue seems to be exclusively related to the codebase of this specific app.

Swift UI picker
I will update this to five stars as soon as this gets fixed; I have an HELTEC LoRa32 v4. Actually I have three of them because I want the touchscreen. But it's really hard to access a lot of the settings on the touchscreen. However the iOS keeps having a picker error. There's no tag. Or it's looking for a tag that doesn't exist. Volunteer work is hard I get it I ran a 501 C3 that I started. But instead of adding new features let's just get something a little bit stable for a while. I get it android is better, honestly I do. The closed ecosystem of Apple is a pain in the butt but the reality is, a lot of people use it. So going from a firmware that doesn't connect to any nodes at all (2.7.15) and upgrading to the recommended firmware 2.7.20+ (using 2.7.24) and having the channels constantly crash out or changed so that I can't communicate reliably doesn't help the project more than a bad review does. And like other users have said even though it's volunteer when something is submitted on GitHub if it's an easy fix, and I don't know if this is or not, but it seems like stability should be prioritized over features. Functionality should be prioritized
