Weather map

Really like the active weather map showing the cloud movement, it’s pretty accurate on the day and helps in North Devon when we can get out and do things

Mysterious auto-scrolling back to 6am…

I find this to be perhaps the most accurate weather app available, to it’s pretty good overall. However, it suffers from one significant minor irritation. When I’m looking at the details of how the weather is going to develop over the late afternoon, and continue to look at that for a while, the app suddenly takes it into its own mind to scroll automatically back to the early morning, so that the part of the day I’m interested in disappears off the right of the screen. This means I have to scroll back manually to where I wanted to be. Why does it do that? Strange…

Accurate

This appears to be very accurate. I check it a lot

Severe data sync latency ruins outdoor planning

The data pipeline feeding this app is completely unfit for purpose. It constantly serves up stale, hours-old snapshot files that fail to adapt when a weather front accelerates in the real world. Today in Durham, the app confidently predicted light showers for 11:00 AM, but a fast-moving front brought heavy rain hours early. The app timeline completely failed to update its rigid blocks to match live radar. Until the developers fix the server syncing latency and cloud overwrites, this app is useless for outdoor planning.

More accurate

More accurate than the other app on my iPhone but still not up to the old fashioned way of telling the weather. Red sky at night etc and observing cloud formation

Thank God for Met Weather

The weather forecast on media doesn’t tell what we are going to have on SECoast
Often totally different. Thank god the Met have the BBC contract again. The previous company were useless. How can you give SE weather for London when it’s such a big area with a coast.

Weather Forecast

Great Weather Forecasting app

Reliable

I check it every day and it’s pretty reliable

John

Mainly clear and often accurate

Great for rainfall

The radar rainfall is very useful, but it would be great to have easy access to other real time observations like temperature. I’d also like access to synoptic charts to see where the fronts are.

Gareth

Always accurate and app so easy to use

Weather app. Lacking user details.

There appears to be no sign of how to navigate around the details of this app.
Where/ how to access other locations. How to delete a location and frequently no recognition of place names.

Good but current/precise location inaccurate.

This weather app in general is very good. However, when showing the current location, even when it is set to precise location, and that location exists within the app, it’s still showing my current location as at least 2 miles away. I find this really frustrating, and it doesn’t make sense. Please fix this! Otherwise overall a very good app.

Good detail

Its useful to have the other detail given of wind direction and when near the sea tides this could save lives. So thanks

Missing locations

The map includes locations such as Bath, Oxford, Stoke but inexplicably manages to exclude Liverpool! I’m sure there will be visitors to Liverpool, of which there are millions, who aren’t familiar with the geography of the uk who may be looking for weather information when visiting and look at the map on the app and wonder where it is! Surely it can’t be that difficult to add a major city to the map? Not sure why it’s not there anyway?

Better than the old app

I'm enjoying the new Met office app although it does get frustrating when it's completely wrong but at least I can feed that back now!

Weather ahead

Great app for up to date information on the latest weather. Great to get weather in ‘your local area’. I use it while travelling around all the time

It’s still the best!

The app is the most precise and has the best features.

The Only Weather App I Use

Great app and very clear and easy to navigate. The weather conditions for the day are pretty spot on unlike other weather apps! I use this for different locations when visiting different parts of the UK but is also handy when abroad. This is the only app I use relating to the weather.

Good

Very good and reliable but could do with being able to access past weather/temperatures from the few days before to compare with 👍
