Weather map
Really like the active weather map showing the cloud movement, it’s pretty accurate on the day and helps in North Devon when we can get out and do things
Mysterious auto-scrolling back to 6am…
I find this to be perhaps the most accurate weather app available, to it’s pretty good overall. However, it suffers from one significant minor irritation. When I’m looking at the details of how the weather is going to develop over the late afternoon, and continue to look at that for a while, the app suddenly takes it into its own mind to scroll automatically back to the early morning, so that the part of the day I’m interested in disappears off the right of the screen. This means I have to scroll back manually to where I wanted to be. Why does it do that? Strange…

Accurate
This appears to be very accurate. I check it a lot
Severe data sync latency ruins outdoor planning
The data pipeline feeding this app is completely unfit for purpose. It constantly serves up stale, hours-old snapshot files that fail to adapt when a weather front accelerates in the real world. Today in Durham, the app confidently predicted light showers for 11:00 AM, but a fast-moving front brought heavy rain hours early. The app timeline completely failed to update its rigid blocks to match live radar. Until the developers fix the server syncing latency and cloud overwrites, this app is useless for outdoor planning.

More accurate
More accurate than the other app on my iPhone but still not up to the old fashioned way of telling the weather. Red sky at night etc and observing cloud formation
