Looks good, completely ineffective
DON’T buy this product. Complete waste of money. Purported to be leading technology, but totally useless when needed. Had this for four years, first sign of trouble, car gone without a trace. No alert, no data, no history, no tracking. Completely pointless. Buy a Ghost, or some other discrete immobiliser, Metatrak is a waste of your hard earned cash.

Not live information
The app has sufficient information, but it’s very delayed. For example, I try to check the current status of my vehicles battery and it shows it from 8 hours ago. I press refresh and it doesn’t update. I’ve had this app for 5 years now and been paying the £110 per year to use it. The only reason I have kept it is due to insurance requirements. Otherwise I would have cancelled ages ago. Not recommend. Would suggest looking at alternative options.

Excellent security
Together with subscription which employs human people. I had an issue today whilst my vehicle was being booked in for a service. My fault entirely as I asked the service personnel to park my car but neglected to hand them the key. I got an immediate call from the call centre and had to go through security questions. I’m impressed and very reassured. Thank you Meta Trak. Exactly what I pay for. Top class security.

Worst app ever
This is one of the worst app I’ve ever used. It reminds me of quality of apps when first iPhone came to market. It lags behind, keeps logging out, delayed response and very poor interface.
I’m not sure how the company can charge customers and arm and a leg for tracker and then give them this app. I wish I know about this before placing the tracker on my car.

Renewal issues
I have a month to go to renewal yet I am faced with a screen to renew and pay. It is a years contract not eleven months. This is strong arming customers. Not impressed with the app , have had to reinstall it many times and often it still does not work. Do I want to throw the towel in now and look for a better deal that works better.

Too many errors
In principle a decent app but almost every time it is started it begins with an error. Logout should be automatic after the app is closed. The latest update lost several of the function icons on the iPhone but seem to still work on the iPad.
Over priced for what it is.
App comm’s poor. Updates poor. Unless you pay the over inflated price for the full options, I don’t see it’s worth the money. Potty I didn’t know what I know now as I have better options available. First it was included in the plan. Told renewal fee and on renewal told price of 50% inflated fee. Not being mugged off. Saves me less than £40 on my insurance to get a renewal fee of more than 4 times that. Pointless. If they nick it, I don’t want it back anyway. Not much incentive here.

Need Modernisation
While the alarm systems are good, this App desperately needs to be modernised. Alerts need to be sent to the device notification system so you don’t have to login to see if there is an alert. It also needs to make use of device authentication services like finger print or face recognition.
A complete overhaul is needed to bring it up to date.

Works ok most of the time. Needs face/fingerprint log in. And needs to update info quicker but does what I need and I immobilise my vehicle when it’s parked up regularly and sometimes takes 20 second to un immobilise sometimes instant.

I purchased this system from a very well known Motorhome security company in order to supplement my alarm. The concept is excellent, but the performance of the app is very old and sluggish. As one previous reviewer indicated - DOS - operating systems performed equally well. The app provides information concerning ignition. Fine but why is the app showing ignition on when the keys are in my pocket. And of course vice versa. I don’t alway have the time to keep refreshing the app and even when I do, it doesn’t necessarily change. Information can be sketchy.

Not impressed at all
Alarm/tracker fitted on purchase of new bike...18months ago. Bike shown kept at a different address (500yds away) or its at work when I’m at home (25 miles away) or vice versa
The alarm/immobiliser works fine but I’m not confident it would get recovered if stolen
I have rang on numerous times, customer services promise they’ll rectify problem but nothing changes

Update for iPhone X
Great app but would be great if it was updated to support iPhone X and up

Was happy to see when this app got an update with a new app icon! thinking it's finally has up to date iPhone x full screen interface but still no luck...
Bugs since 23/12/19 and again 27/2/20
I’ve this on my iPad, iPhone and iMac and since 23//12/19 (upgraded then) the app drops as soon as it is selected on the iPad (9.3.5) so I’m unable to use the app on that. Usually app works fine but now there is a problem there’s no easy way to report a problem.

Still no finger print Authenticator to log in after this time feels lacking

Lot of bugs
How this app got this score I have no idea. I am giving 2 stars as a credit. I bought metatrak alarm system because the app, basically because photos. Photos looked good. Big surprise when I started using that. Score system - time of travel is wrong. Time arriving is +1h. Score shows speed in km/h even it was set in settings mph. System of changing modes is frame medieval age. Looks like DOS. "Send command"? Come on! "History " option shows Ignition on ignition off - it's very difficult to understand what it shows. Engine ignition? Tracker ignition? Now it shows on my app my motorcycle is still on, even if I switched it off 2h ago. Lot of worthless options like access log. Could you guys hire a good designer or UI Pro to help you avoid engineers view?! Lost of bugs is too long to paste here.

Add a unique sound please
Love the app, it works for it’s intended purpose well. BUT, is there any danger you could add a sound so when a notification comes through, eg, like my battery is going flat or vehicle is moved without my permission, my phone makes a distinct noise so I know a notification has come through.
