I could swear I have been using this app on and off for years, but now it wants me to buy it .. again?

So disappointed
I’ve used this app for years, I enjoyed using swirl tool to make swirly paint textures. And now I can’t even use the app anymore even though I paid for it. what a scam don’t waste your money. Capitalism ruining everything we love
I wish it was auto paint at least for the beginning strokes

Frustrating
This app has the potential of being awesome BUT I can’t find any decent tutorials on the internet to show me how to use it!! There doesn’t seem to be any included tutorials within the app itself. If there is, I can’t locate them. Wish I hadn’t waisted my money on it.

Great ap. Lots of wonderful effects.
Now fixed
The save problem is fixed. This is a wonderful tool for creatives. Particularly hold your hand but you can use it very intuitive light and encourages experimentation all which is right up my alley for creating art I improvise. It’s the best attitude to take when you use this because a lot of times it can be unpredictable to me that’s good maybe not so much for you. It does crash once in a while but it doesn’t take long to come back up again and you don’t lose your work which is the most important thing. Are use it as an essential tool it’s part of my artwork flow.Highly recommend if any of this resonates with you.

Saving problems
After the new OS 14....the app refusing to save. I deleted and reinstalled ...nothing works....help...I really like the app ...
I like it, unique and inspiring
Great app, but there are some issues with reliability of some effects, also have some issues when using certain .png images w transparency (all transparent becomes a dark color sometimes(in brush mode)) I hope this app continues to be updated by the developer because as is, it is very inspiring and creative, if a bit unpredictable. But it would be one of the best apps for creating unique images if it had more ways to effect / process the image in experimental ways . Also would like more brush options. Developer:please continue to add to this charming app!1 if you need someone to test new builds lemme know!1! Thank you for this app

Doesn’t work at all
No button made any difference whatsoever. Nothing changed, nothing worked. Instructions online are poor.
You WILL NOT be able to SAVE your work. Waste of money
Can’t believe people are allowed to sell apps like this in the app store. It CRASHES every time I try to save the work (on a fully updated iPad). The app developer has stolen my money and delivered nothing in return.
Good app
MetaBrush is a good app for painting over your photos but lacks increased resolution. It tops out at 4096 x 2731 at 72 dpi as a jpg. It would have been nice to have an increase in resolution for those larger poster size prints. The same is true for iColorama. I’ve recently bought a Canon EOS 90D with a 32.5MP CMOS sensor which creates some fantastic detail in the photos but MetaBrush scales the photo down which makes this app obsolete for large print sizes. I’d give this app 5 stars if they increased the resolution for larger prints.

Best painting app on iPad
Forget all those subscription based art filter apps that seem to be flooding the App Store. MetaBrush is the best app for turning a photo into a painting HANDS DOWN. It allows you to actually “paint” the picture and not just slap a texture filter on a photo. Well worth the once off price and I suggest checking out some of their other apps

A Fantastic Photo Painting Program!
From the excellent IColorama dev comes the best program I've seen to transform your artwork and photos. This is not a canned effects program. You control and create with it. Five stars. Very useful.

I’m just now trying to lean how to improve the looks of my photos. I have a iPhone iPad and a Nikon D7100. And shooting in manual on the Nikon in a flat profile you can do amazing things with this and others app from this developer. If you are on a budget definitely buy the bundle. You will not regret it.

Two problems
I see so many possibilities with this app, but even though it says you can paint on your photos, it won't open photos on my iPad Air, nor can I 'share/save' something I have created in the app. Help! Want to love this app!
Much as I wanted to like it....
I must admit, I'm at a loss to explain this app. Whilst it can be used to create original artwork from a blank canvas, it's not very easy to that with it. Most people seem to use it to create 'art' by applying smear effects to photos and the results are often in bad taste; besides, the developer has another app, iColorama, which does the same thing, so what's it really for?
It a sophisticated tool, but there's very little help to learn it, so results are often unexpected and not in a good way.
I think it deserves to succeed, but there need to be more tutorials and some online help and then hopefully some real artists will put their weight behind it. Meanwhile, I've moved on to Procreate and it languishes in a folder.
