Almost useless “tourist” website
Huge disappointment! Met used to have a helpful site that was searchable for specific artworks and had good gallery maps. Now just advertising for other NYC attractions and tours. A shame!

Useless
If you want to know what’s going on at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, look at their website. You will not find anything on this app. There is more information about other sites in the city than there is about what is in the museum. It is a complete waste.
Worthless to me
I am better off using the link to their website, metmuseum.org because I get better information on current exhibitions, etc., not touristy info. This app does nothing for me. I live in NY.
Not the official MET app
This is a tour / travel company pretending to be an official museum guide. The constant email traffic starts immediately.

This app purports itself to be an official app by taking the museum name but as far as I can tell it’s not authorized in any way by the museum. Go for Bloomberg Connects instead!

Useless app
This app is useless to guide you around the MET museum, I’m deleting it immediately. Its primary function is to sell tours around NY and other locations. If you want a useful guide for the MET simply go to the MET website, their online map and audio guides are excellent.
No proper maps
What kind of museum app does not show a proper map of the museum? How am I supposed to look for specific galleries?
Seriously lacking
The MET does a terrible job at connecting memberships to its web and/or app experience. Where’s the ability to add your membership card to Apple wallet? Or manage your account information? How about making a reservation for the Met Lounge? So many missed opportunities, it’s such a disappointment.

Disappointed, do not recommend
I want to use app to locate an art work. Instead, the app pop up all advertisements without any useful info. Don’t waste your time on it unless they fully renovate the app.

What is the point of this
Downloaded, saw the nothing offered in the app but descriptions of who donated some collections, a bunch of ads, offers for non-Met NYC attractions? And then it crashed. This can't be an official app...
The Un-Museum App
If you’re interested in most anything about NYC EXCEPT the Met Museum of Art, this app was built for you. For those of us who are actually looking to use the museum, this has nothing to offer. Just head to the museum and enjoy. Leave the phone in your pocket and this app in the App Store. It’s not even worth the free it costs.

Wow what a garbage
I thought an interactive map is a no brainer in 2024. I was so wrong. This app is an ad. No valuable information at all.

World-Class Museum, Garbage App
The developers really phoned this one in. They thought to provide hotel search functions, maps of unrelated cities, and generic tourist info for NYC, but the app (which is supposedly dedicated to the Met Museum) lacks properly-labeled maps of the actual museum! Forget the luxuries of real-time tracking or locations of temporary exhibitions, this app lacks even the most rudimentary map details. No wing identification, no room numbers, not even a differentiation between floors! Just a schematic of the walls on the main floor. To have any hope of navigating the beautiful and expansive museum with intent, you’ll have to use a paper map, costing the museum money and creating needless waste. But hey, the app includes city maps of Chicago and Los Angeles for some reason, so I guess that makes it all ok in the end.
