Worst Decision To Buy MG
I regret the day I stepped my foot inside the MG showroom. It’s a car of unreliablity and unaccountability. From the day 1, I have been facing issues with start feature on inclined roads, rear seatbelt alarm and now even the app has stopped working. Their customer support does not help at all and delegate the issue to service center. Service center always has the same answer- this is how it is in this model. For the app, they suggested to reset my entire iPhone. Can you believe the level of stupidity in this answer? I want to sue them badly but don’t know if I can go through all the hassles. I’ll just sell this car as soon as my car loan is completed and switch to a reliable manufacturer like Hyundai

Fuel level indicator mismatch between digital cluster instrument panel and Fuel level in ismart app
Fuel Gauge indicator bars are more in digital panel instrumental cluster than what are available in fuel level indicators in ismart app,for eg mg hector plus savyy petrol automatic has 18 bars as fuel level gauge indicators in digital instrumental panel where as I see only 8 bars as standard in fuel levels of ismart app for it , irrespective of traffic conditions driving behaviour the logic to correlate the fuel indicators should be synching with actual fuel levels available in the gauge to reflect the actual mileage derived . So there is a bug in api’s of ismart app front end design, where the fuel level indicators on app and display panel are surely out of synch. There has been no explanation given how will 8 fuel levels correlate to 18 fuel levels and when will these changes when actual fuel in the tank goes down.

Multiple users can’t use the app
Everything is fine with the app.. but one of the important features is not there. I and my wife need to use it as both of them use it… when one person uses it , the other person gets logged off. Last time my wife missed to recharge the battery and the app was active in her mobile . If at all I would have also had, this could have been avoided.
Not sure why they have restricted it for only one user. In my previous car Kia seltos, both of us got it and it was helpful. Pls help to get this software update.

Application Not Working - Needs Immediate Fix
The MG iSMART app has not been working properly for the past 2-3 months. Remote control features like AC on/off, fuel tank range, car location, and other important data are completely unavailable. This defeats the purpose of a connected car experience. Very disappointing for a tech-driven brand like MG. Please fix this urgently and ensure reliable performance. Customers trust this app for convenience and safety, and its failure affects daily usage badly. Such issues should not be ignored, especially when technology is a key selling point of the vehicle

MG ismart glitch
MG ismart shows current GPS location of my car 40kms away from my home, while its parked right beneath my building. I tried reinstalling the app but nothing works. Customer care is also not very helpful because they will redirect you to the service center. What's the point of having a CC if they don't have solution to customers problem. Its like MG motor tries to put everything on the users interface being helpful. If there is a glitch in the app, MG should release an update. What if my car is stolen? I will never have the correct location on phone because its already showing a false location 40kms aways from my place. Extremely disappointing & poor customer service

Unsatisfactory app update for Hector Sharp Diesel
The recent update to the MG app is extremely disappointing. Previously, the app offered seamless control over key features like the sunroof and tailgate, which have now been removed. These were some of the most useful functions, and it's frustrating to see them gone. Additionally, the lock/unlock feature, which was reliable before, is now inconsistent and often doesn't work at all. This downgrade in functionality is unacceptable for a premium vehicle app. Please bring back the old features and fix the issues with the new update. The user experience has significantly worsened with this version.

Voice navigation guide
Even when I do not use the inbuilt navigation app, the voice guidance automatically switches on and disrupts the music. It reduces the music volume to gives me voice guidance which is very irritating. I have to manually change the setting.

I use this app mainly to see how much my car has charged. But typically, it opens up to show the charger the car has when it is plugged in. Refreshing seems to have limited effect, and the correct charge is usually shown after 3-4 refreshes and once the app has been restarted thrice. Oftentimes, I’ve reached the car parking from my home and checked the charge from the car itself before the app does.
And of course, on many occasions the app shows “unable to connect to the car”!

Missing features
1) when tyre is flat, the app doesn’t show as abnormal. Strange, how come they miss out such a simple feature? It should show abnormal message the way it shows to low fuel.
2) the songs will play automatically from usb when it is connected, upon turning on SSB to ACC position and on ignition. Infotainment system shouldn’t play anything automatically, without command but unfortunately in case if USB is connected, it resumes automatically, where it got paused, even after manually stopped playing the songs before switching off the engine, which is very irritating.

Great App
In comparison to other manufacturers apps. This smart app is great. Good to have all the features and controls under one app.
The digital key feature is also great though it is paid and have to pay a premium for the subscription.
It would be great to have just one time payment for the subscription rather than having to renew it annually and the subscription charges are also high though. Still far better than what Mahindra is offering(inr 6000 for using just the adrenox there)
I am fully satisfied with the value that this app provides.

Half baked story - where is the Average fuel consumption option ?
MG proudly associates itself with internet inside car but I don’t see enough investments to keep the app to power up the car well. Some of the functions are half baked and abruptly stop on app. GPS issues in finding car and many more. I recommend a through smoke testing on ur app in conjunction to the car services to beef up the user experience. Thanks for looking into feedback Regards Deepak

Where is the fuel consumption / average option. Earlier in iSMART it used to show an average but now that function has gone. Neither u have one in car not in app. Apart from showing the dummy range. Why can you not fix this ? This is the basic function.

My Mg app stop working after 1 week
The app stop working after 1 week . It’s automatically stop working and logout the car from the app. I call to the centre but after call in two , three day the call is comed and saying that your app is up to date and you can bind your car in the app but still it not bound the car 😑😑😑😑😑😑😅
Should be more customised to provide good experience
The display model in the app remains white. Simple addition of showing same colored car as owners own should be implemented. The inside view is also restricted to 5 str model white color. This should be updated with color and the 6 / 7 str interiors as per car the owner owns. MG shoud steer clear from Airtel as service provider for the car network as this app is useless if there is no network being catched by the car.

Doesn’t work with Apple Watch
Does not work with Apple Watch. Says incompatible version. Tried to uninstall and reinstall the app but doesn’t work either. MG iSMART mobile app is buggy too. Most of the times won’t scan the vehicle in first attempt. Take 4-5 attempts to scan and only then you can use the remote control function to send commands to the vehicle. Not up to the mark. Just a gimmick from MG to pull customers to buy such cars. Developers need to do Alpha and Beta testing before releasing such products on App Store.

Doesn’t work on Apple Watch
The overall app works fine on iPhone. It’s smooth and works good. But it never works on Apple Watch. It either says we need to re login to use it. Else it is always a message that this version is not compatible, need to uninstall and install again. I tried all the methods like uninstall and then re install again. Also logged in multiple times but it doesn’t fix the issue. The developers need to figure out what’s the exact issue. Debug it in a right way.

I myself am a software professional, and hoping that this message goes to the developers and also the Business teams.
1) You must improve the application performance: whenever the app is opened, there should be a parameter to check if tour car has moved since it was last parked, and if it was not - no need to always do a refresh. It takes time and believe me, when I am in a hurry - I don’t want to waste time letting the app initialise and verify all the Car details first. The reason why it has all the smart features is for us to use them as seamlessly as possible. The time taken by the app to send a command - I don’t know why it takes so much time - you have a 5G ready e-SIM, this should be done within 1-2 seconds max.
2) The basic option of allowing us to open all windows as well as close them must be there - remotely. See, this is INDIA, no matter how much hurry we are in and how much advance we plan our trip, we won’t be able to take advantage of AC fast cooling before entering the car in Summers, until we have an option to remotely open windows as well. Now, I know there is a question of privacy, theft here, but nonetheless, one must have this option. We are however opening sunroof as of now. Also, remotely being able to open or close windows should be there since we might sometime forget to close the windows before leaving the car. Some sort of option to auto close open windows after 10 minutes can be planned, just like we have for AC.
3) Every MG Hector owner has this problem - your infotainment system is buggy. FULL STOP
It still needs to response faster, and boot faster.
4) The option of being able to control all these basic car functions via Alexa/Siri/Google Home. Now, imagine - most of the times I am in this situation. Its summer time and I decide to go for a ride for whatever reasons. I am getting ready, and while I do that - I would not have time to open the app and wait for it to initialise and then start the AC. Had there been an option to control the AC, and all the functions as sunroof, windows via the Smart Speakers - it would have been totally cool.
I feel these features can be easily accommodated without a lot of effort.

Digital Speedometer and Mileage
Hi. The app gives me indifferent information about the distance travelled relatively with the tracking. The tracking works perfect but the distance travelled is nowhere correct.
Besides I would also like to see the Digital speedometer and Mileage on MID. The MID is no good without them.

Mileage issues
I have the petrol version top end model of MG. The promise by the company before buying the vehicle said that the average would be about 13 kms per litre. I have bought the vehicle and for about 6 months now and never the average has exceeded 5.5 kms to 5.7 kms in city driving conditions. Average best what I got for city and highway driving was 6.7 kms a litre.
This is the worst vehicle for someone who wants to use this as a status symbol. The BMW’s and Merc’s give better mileage.
I thought i would be a PROUD owner of this 94 year old legacy car, but today I feel like a JOKER.

Stopped working second day itself.
Remote Control tab keeps giving me error while scanning the vehicle status. The error reads ‘unable to get the GPS status of the car.’ However, under the ‘travel’ and ‘geo fence’ tab, GPS works. I have tried at different locations itself but it’s not working at all. Support ticket is also open with slow response.

Once I got the attention from support it’s amazing. They visited my place and fixed all the issues. Their approach and diagnostics are awesome.
