Can’t make an account
I decided to try the app and it won’t let me make an account, it just says error. So I signed in with google and that worked. Then It says I need to sign up for rewards and I try and it says I didn’t fill in something when I definitely filled it all in.
Vibecoded Garbage
Asks for location permission even while not using the app. Error messages (you will see them a lot) are not informative. Register button greyed out for no reason. Google sign-in project is just an unnamed project. Absolutely horrible to use. Buggy garbage. Our data is not secure.
Will Not Update
Had to leave the store without my purchase because the app would not update and I couldn’t use the old version
Why???
You have no idea how much I hate developers who when releasing an update to an app on the very first update round they disable the old version. When you do an update, give a warning before making the prior version impossible to use so I don’t stand in line at the store having to update the damn app. Morons.

No verification
Tried multiple times to set this up. It originally wanted my chosen store to be in the States. I live in Canada. Then once I finally got Canadian info, it didn’t allow me to verify my account. Code was sent several times, but never appeared in my texts or emails. Very frustrating.
Outdated Reviews On Here
A lot of these reviews are very old. I’m using the app and it’s working fine. Just download the app yourself and see if it’s working. An overall 1.9 stars for this app is wild, I’m giving it 5 stars.

Useful
I’m not sure why this app has so many bad reviews. You can use it to scan the barcode of items to find the price, see sales, have access to weekly coupons and can order from the app and pickup in store. It has a full catalogue of their products too.
Having issues
Can someone let me know why I no longer can get pictures of the items that are listed? I have to open up each item if I want to see what it looks like. Is anyone else having this issue? It just started doing that. Is it because of the latest update?
Broken App / No Support
I love Michael’s but the app is terrible. No matter what device, whatever category I choose freezes after scrolling for mere seconds. I’ve tried clearing cache and reinstalling, and can only shop Michaels in a web browser.

Freezes
I can’t get past a page without it totally freezing.
Used to be okay, but now unusable
This app was fine for a couple of years but now, it freezes all. the. time. I can’t find a pattern to it, I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling… no point in keeping it installed.

WORST APP!
They keep sending me emails for my opinion but never change anything. First off it freezes making deleting and rebooting app several times. Second it’s completely unfriendly shop. Looking at yarn you have to click on different page to even see the colour choices then FOR EVERY COLOUR SELECTION you have to click on it GO BACK TO ANOTHER PAGE to select. You do this MULTIPLE. times for EACH colour. Want ten colours you do this again and again. Why not show the colours on shop page and allow us to choose MULTIPLE colours as I always do without all this taking hour to purchase. I often just pay more go to Amazon.

App AND website are malfunctioning, not letting me add to my cart
Like the title says… Malfunctioning, not letting me add anything to my cart. I started off online. I was trying to set up an order for me to pick up, but every time I tried adding something to my cart, I got the following message, “Oops... It seems something went wrong. Please try again later.“
So I figured maybe it’s because I wasn’t signed in. So I signed in on the website. Still got the same issue.
So I updated the app and launched it, thinking it would be easier, more cooperative. Wrong! I got the same message, over and over and over and over. The app has never worked for me anyway it’s always been hugely problematic, and there is no way to report it to the devs for the app. I guess they really don’t want people to order online, even though people are more likely to buy more online then if they walk into the store. Your loss, Michael’s! I will take my business elsewhere.
