Issues

I w updated app, and entered all info correctly and still will not let me sign in

Frustrating

It’s disappointing that this company makes good cameras, but the app is a huge letdown. Reviewing footage is a major hassle. There’s no way to easily find the specific part of the video you’re looking for—you have to blindly download clips, hoping you’ve guessed the right time. Once downloaded, the video ends up in your files, and you may need an extra app like VLC just to view it. This process is so frustrating that I ended up returning the camera. If you’re using a separate DVR/NVR, this camera might work for you. However, if you rely on the app, I strongly recommend avoiding this purchase.

App is not good

In the past I was able to watch recordings with the app even if I was not using my house WiFi. Now it shows the files but when I try to open it closes the app. I’m only able to watch the recording in my old ipad that I never updated the app

When I try to watch recorded videos my app closes.

iPad App Not Very Usable - Customer Support is Declining

I’ve had several Microseven cameras for about 5 or 6 years. The quality of the hardware seems great, but the software not so much. The iOS app doesn’t allow one to quickly scroll through motion activated events like the desktop software does. And lately there are no available clips to view (it appears that the clips are only available now on a subscription-based model). On my desktop software, it used to be very reliable (clips were stored on my PC hard drive) and I could quickly scroll through motion-detection events. Unfortunately, that has also come to a screeching halt, as the recording software frequently crashes and quits recording events. A few years ago the founder of the company would call you back, remotely access your computer, and diagnose/fix any issues. Now I’m lucky if I get an email a few days later with a half-baked suggestion on how to fix my issue (none of which have worked). Does the PC-installed recording server software have priority over the desktop software? Does the iOS configuration have priority over either of those? I’m not sure which configuration software is driving the bus — or perhaps the config is stored within the camera itself, so it’s not an issue? I’ve tried taking all but one out of the loop, but it still crashes (and one of my cameras quit working altogether the other day). So proceed with caution. What was once a great solution/product seems less so these days — at least from my experience.
