Issues

I w updated app, and entered all info correctly and still will not let me sign in

Frustrating

It’s disappointing that this company makes good cameras, but the app is a huge letdown. Reviewing footage is a major hassle. There’s no way to easily find the specific part of the video you’re looking for—you have to blindly download clips, hoping you’ve guessed the right time. Once downloaded, the video ends up in your files, and you may need an extra app like VLC just to view it. This process is so frustrating that I ended up returning the camera. If you’re using a separate DVR/NVR, this camera might work for you. However, if you rely on the app, I strongly recommend avoiding this purchase.

App is not good

In the past I was able to watch recordings with the app even if I was not using my house WiFi. Now it shows the files but when I try to open it closes the app. I’m only able to watch the recording in my old ipad that I never updated the app

When I try to watch recorded videos my app closes.

iPad App Not Very Usable - Customer Support is Declining

I’ve had several Microseven cameras for about 5 or 6 years. The quality of the hardware seems great, but the software not so much. The iOS app doesn’t allow one to quickly scroll through motion activated events like the desktop software does. And lately there are no available clips to view (it appears that the clips are only available now on a subscription-based model). On my desktop software, it used to be very reliable (clips were stored on my PC hard drive) and I could quickly scroll through motion-detection events. Unfortunately, that has also come to a screeching halt, as the recording software frequently crashes and quits recording events. A few years ago the founder of the company would call you back, remotely access your computer, and diagnose/fix any issues. Now I’m lucky if I get an email a few days later with a half-baked suggestion on how to fix my issue (none of which have worked). Does the PC-installed recording server software have priority over the desktop software? Does the iOS configuration have priority over either of those? I’m not sure which configuration software is driving the bus — or perhaps the config is stored within the camera itself, so it’s not an issue? I’ve tried taking all but one out of the loop, but it still crashes (and one of my cameras quit working altogether the other day). So proceed with caution. What was once a great solution/product seems less so these days — at least from my experience.

Thank you

V2.1.0 They just added H265 this was needed to be up to par with other camera supplier. Great improvement. Thank you

Fails to start with VPN

Up until two weeks ago the cameras would open which connected to a VPN. Now they won’t.

Bad bad bad

This is the worst camera app ever in the market. Hard to open live video and hard to browse video history. I advise who bought this camera return it without hesitate.

App requires Internet login to view LAN IP Cameras

App will not work without logging in to Microseven’s server, even to view local LAN cameras via IP. If your Internet or Microseven servers are down (as they have been for at least 3 days now), you can not use this app to view either live video or recordings (stored on SD card in camera). Even when the app does work, it is very outdated as you can’t view live video from multiple cameras, nor can you download and share recordings via this app, you can only watch the individual recordings. If you need to share recordings you must activate local screen capture recording.

Painfully outdated

Hard to browse video. You’re basically looking at a list of files. And once you find the video you need, there’s no way to download it. To view videos outside of your home network is no easy task.

Decent app

If stream not being received it crashes usually right away or without a day. More stability is desiresn

Zone Set up does not save correctly

Every time you save the Zone on the IPhone. It changes to a small rectangle on the left side of the screen. Even if you cover the screen. It only saves a much smaller rectangle. This needs fixed right away. As it makes the zone selection useless.

Crashes ALOT

Constant crashes. Also if you watch live video it slowly loses time to the point after 5 minutes you watching two minute old video.....and then it crashes

Constantly crashes

What used to be a fairly stable app has, with this latest update, become very crash-prone. This is especially annoying when in the midst of reviewing recorded video.

In addition, and just as problematic, is the increased time it now takes to access videos recorded on a camera’s SD card. In the last version, access to an SD card was fairly quick. This latest update makes it a painfully lengthy process, especially when faced with review of 12 hours of video on 4 cameras.

It is relatively limited

It is a simple app, made for remote viewing of cameras.
Setup, install not too bad. But, can only view cameras.
Can only view one camera at a time, no multi-view.
Cannot take a snapshot or recording from live view.
Cannot delete files on the SD card remotely.
Hopefully future versions improve capabilities.

Enough with the ads

We pay 150 bucks for a 40 buck camera and then you force ads on the app. Come on.

Stupid ads

You get advertising along with the video feed.... last thing I need is more ads! This is not made clear when you purchase!

Can't connect to camera since May 4 update

iPhone software worked pretty well until this latest update. I can't connect to the camera or the settings anymore. Errors I get are: "Failed to connect to camera" or "failed to get settings."

Excellent version

I have realtime motion event clips in a couple of seconds, thanks Microseven given us a free service.

Adds

Really advertising now! Way to go on ruin a good app.
