About

The bleeding of watercolors, the depth of oil paints, and the grainy texture of a pencil on paper. This paint app realistically recreates more than 50 art materials and 28 types of paper using advanced physical simulation. When you place your brush, the paint seeps into the paper and spreads. Layer another color before it dries, and the colors will bleed and blend together beautifully. If you apply color after it dries, the underlying layer will show through translucent layers. Everything that happens between the paint, water, and paper is computed in real-time with every stroke of your brush. ■ Natural Color Blending Paints mix together just like real physical pigments. Mixing blue and yellow creates green, and over-mixing results in muddy colors. With plenty of water, colors disperse fluidly, while a drier brush leaves crisp, textured strokes. ■ 51 Realistic Art Materials ・Transparent Watercolor (11 brushes): Realistically reproduces bleeding, color blending, water volume, and drying. ・Oil Painting (9 brushes): Recreates the thickness, texture, and individual bristles of oil paint. Includes blenders. ・Pencils & Colored Pencils (20 brushes): Recreates varying hardnesses, sharpening styles, layering, and burnishing. ・Crayon (7 brushes): Recreates the unique waxy texture and dry scraping effect of real crayons. ・Gold & Silver Leaf (4 brushes): Specialized brushes for applying and brushing down metallic foils. ・Digital Pen & Airbrush: Clean, uniform lines and spray effects for illustrations. ■ 28 Distinct Paper & Substrate Types Includes watercolor papers, traditional Japanese papers (Washi), sketchpapers, canvas, and more. You can freely choose the paper color and adjust the texture, water absorption, and drying rate of each substrate. ■ Realistic Paint Flow with Gyro Tilt Wet paint flows in response to your device’s tilt using the gyro sensor. Dry it mid-flow to capture unique, organic drips exactly where they are. ■ Automatic Timelapse Videos Your entire painting process is automatically recorded as a 15x speed timelapse video. No setup or manual recording required—just play it in-app or export as an MP4. ■ 3 Brush Modes Switch dynamically between Brush, Eraser, and Finger blending. Use your finger to smudge and blend applied paint. The pencil eraser acts like a kneaded eraser, lifting pigment without flattening the paper grain. ■ Seamless & Intuitive UI ・One-finger drawing, two-finger gestures (pan, zoom, rotate). ・Press and hold to sample colors with the eyedropper. ・Tap with two fingers to undo, three fingers to redo. ・Adjust brush size and opacity on the fly with sticky sliders. ・Auto-saves instantly when you pause, preserving your work even if you close the app. Compatible with Apple Pencil pressure, tilt, and orientation. ■ Color Management Select colors with the color wheel, customizable palettes, or sliders. Create unlimited palettes, drag to organize colors, and drag color buttons to flood-fill areas with adjustable thresholds. ■ Powerful Layering Supports opacity, layer ordering, clipping, 20 blend modes (Multiply, Screen, Overlay, etc.), filters (binary, line extraction), and transform tools. You can also dry wet layers or lock wet colors. ■ Easy Export & File Sharing Export your creations as PNG, JPEG, MP4 timelapse videos, or as `.mgn` project files to continue painting on another device. Organize files into folders and customize canvas sizes up to 8192px. ■ Recommended For: ・Art material enthusiasts who love trying different brushes and papers. ・Those who want to try oil or watercolor painting but don't know where to start. ・Analog artists looking for the same natural feel in a digital medium. ・Anyone interested in unique materials like gold leaf and Japanese Washi paper. ・Beginners looking to start drawing and illustrating on their device. ■ New features - A sable round brush and a sable flat brush have been added to Oil. ■ Improvements - The maximum brush size has been raised from 200 to 400. - Oil has been reworked substantially: the build-up of paint, the furrows left by the brush and the way picked-up colors mix are now closer to real oil painting. - Reworked how Crayon and Pastel smear and blend. - Wet on Wet can now be turned on and off for Watercolor. - Watercolor drying time can now be set in seconds, and paint that has dried now stays fixed in place. - The Watercolor settings have been renamed to Drying, Drying time, Load and Water. - The brush name is now shown at the top left of the preview, making it easier to move between the list and the settings. - Reworked the artwork grid on the home screen so that thumbnails fit their frames. ■ Bug fixes - Fixed an issue where Pencil, Colored pencil, Crayon and Pastel came out darker as the brush size was raised. - Fixed an issue where streaks appeared in Crayon strokes. - Fixed an issue where Crayon scraped away the build-up of oil paint. - Fixed an issue where the shadow and the arrow of hint bubbles did not line up.
