Best Mindmapper

I am a new user of MindNode, so this review is immature. However, minus a moderate learning curve to the formatting toolbar on iOS, I have been very impressed. The prime consideration for me has been a seamless Apple ecosystem experience: so I discounted the legendary FreeMind, skipped by Lucidchart and moved past XMind. With this need in mind, MindNode has been super pleasant to interact with use. It’s fluid, aesthetic and fast, and it importantly syncs across my devices without issue. I particularly like how branches can contain thousands of characters without degrading performance. They can also be marked as tasks, while containing associated notes. That’s not mentioning the fact mind maps can be grouped in folders, cross-linked across other mind maps and be switched to/from outlines at any moment. The result is a well-rounded mind-mapping experience that has met my criteria and exceeded expectations set by other services. I have subscribed to a year.

My Go-To Brainstormer

Look, all of our computers have a dozen solid apps for notes, organizing thoughts, and listing things we want/need to accomplish. I’ve used them all. None of them make me want to go back in and do it again quite like MindNote does. It’s the app equivalent of eating popcorn: you start with one kernel and the next thing you know…fist-fulls. I have found no faster or easier way to rapid-fire and organize thoughts. MindNode is awesome.

My favourite mind mapping app

It really is. It’s very smooth and streamlined. Uses intuitive micro-interactions and it’s pretty. Can tab to my mind maps using cmd+tab rather than having to look for them in the browser.

The best way to create

MindNode helps me generate thoughts about everything from work projects, creative projects, presentations, major-problem-solving (I love the AI generation of content, which often can get me started, by the way!), and much more. The design is stellar, and there is everything at your fingertips to get your ideas out, organized, and beautifully rendered. Also, I love the ability to export tasks to my task manager, so that I can do the thinking once, and then start to act on the items in the app of my choosing. Did I mention the Apple Watch app, too? It is so handy when you have created a packing list and want to reference it as you roam around the house, packing and ticking off task items in MindNode for Apple Watch. Ideas on Canvas care, have a standard of excellent, and are around for the long haul. Get MindNode – you will be happy you did! well worth the subscription price, every penny of it.

近几天试用了很多款脑图软件，觉得你们的软件是比较好的，UI简洁，操作简单没有那么绕绕的。
但是比较不好的一点就是，你们是月度、年度订阅制的，而不是一次性订阅制，我有注意到你们给其他人的回复，说是为维护开放的必要成本，为后续更好的维护支持。我赞同订阅者对开发者的支持，为优秀的软件付费，是对的事情，优秀开发者也值得。
但是，我观察，你们的软件并非较多更新，观察功能，云同步是iCloud，是用户付费，而不是你们支付成本，ai功能你们说使用的苹果智能，可中国用户并不能用，你们的订阅制却要用户承担着一部分多余成本，在我看来，现在的订阅制，更像是开发者想要一只会持续下蛋的鸡，想榨干一只鸡的生命而不是去养更多的鸡。本质是你们创作思维枯竭，没有对未来持续推出更多优秀内容的信心。
留意到你们对一些用户的回复，你们回复说祝愿那些批评你们订阅者找到其他合适的工具，这一点我很费解，实际上用户是愿意支持你们的，但你们的回复却没有人情味。
一次性订阅制我认为不会给你们造成损失，反而会带来机遇，因为会有更多用户使用你们的产品。如果你们的某项服务可能会造成持续成本，你们完全可以采取一次性订阅+额外服务的模式，把持续支出的服务跟一次性订阅剥离，采取积分的模式来使用额外的服务，一次性订阅制用户可以每月赠送一定量积分，也可以额外购买更多的积分，如果你们的这些服务足够好，我相信会有人持续来购买积分。有很多软件都是如此。事实证明他们拥有更多用户和支持者。
我认为，你们这样会是比现在更好的模式，它会更加激励你们团队来保持健康的创新状态。

‘Cloud only’ was an unwise move

Stupid decision to use CloudKit solely, without any possibility of saving documents. No way of keeping them in information managers like DEVONthink — or just wherever you want, in the traditional spirit of Mac apps.

We're sorry you're feeling this way! We understand that this change isn't for everyone, and we definitely didn't make the switch lightly. Just to clarify, many of Apple's newer apps, like Notes, Photos, and Freeform, are no longer based on traditional files. Instead, they use CloudKit to store and sync data. CloudKit is Apple's technology for syncing data across its services, and iCloud Drive is built on top of it as well. One of the benefits we've found with the synced documents are always available in MindNode, even when you're offline.

I downloaded this years ago to play around with it but never used it. Now that I’ve learned about mind mapping and effective study habits, I decided to give it a shot. However, paying 24.99 a year to JUST change the font? Absolutely ridiculous. Going with Simplemind instead since it’s a one time purchase.

This is 'cloud only'. They've hidden the old file-based version, even from subscribers.

They're so obsessed with making their mindmapper cloud-only, which is incredibly inconvenient if you have to work offline and depend on being able to make your own backups (backups are impossible under this new model! Something goes wrong, you're out of luck.) I don't understand how obstinate this company is to completely overturn and remove their old file-based storage systems. I got Soulver 4, which also uses 'cloud' storage - which makes sense for transitory documents, not files you need to back up and process locally - but even *they* have an option to create locally files. It's sheer bloodymindedness on this company's part to remove one of the most foundational, basic elements of software - that you can edit and copy your own files - and hide it behind a morass of intermittently based servers. With that as a caveat, if you're using this professionally, bear in mind that this is no longer the dependable, serious piece of software and the company will pull the rug out from under paying users without notice.

We understand that the move away from file-based storage isn't for everyone, especially if your workflow relies on managing files directly in Finder or creating your own file-based backups. With MindNode Next, documents are stored in CloudKit rather than iCloud Drive. This approach has a few advantages, such as keeping your documents available offline. If you prefer working with files, you can still drag documents from MindNode onto your Desktop or the Files app to create aliases that open the original document in MindNode. We know this change doesn't fit every workflow, however, we appreciate you sharing your perspective. If you rely on this feature you can also continue using MindNode Classic, which is still available on our website and receives regular updates.

Gute App - Grundfunktionen bitte nachreichen

Die App nutze ich von Beginn an, Mindnode Classic > Mindnode Next. In erster Linie nutze ich Next für die berufliche Organisation (Kanban). Es gibt zwei Punkte, die ich seit Mindnode Next vermisse. 1. Deeplinks für Kalendereinträge und E-Mails. 2. Skizzen. Skizzen war bei Classic das Feature schlechthin. Die Collab ist für mich nicht so wichtig. Dafür Skizzen. Aktuell geht man den Weg über Notizen etc. und fügt die Skizze als Bild ein. Dieser Weg ist umständlich. Dazu können Bilder, Skizzen und PDF-Formate noch(!?) nicht in Next mit Anmerkungen bearbeitet werden. Ich hoffe, dass diese Funktionen hinzukommen, damit diese App vollumfänglich genutzt werden kann.

Apple reminders syncing keeps breaking

Make completed tasks more transparent to increase the contrast between completed and unfulfilled

Make it possible to set dates and times in tasks

Instead of the comment icon, you need to make a document attached

Instead of tags, use a flag like in apple reminders.

Use the importance of events (!!!), as in apple reminders.

URL field Reminders fill in the field from link to the Task (not the Notes field).

Notes field Reminders fill in the field from field Comment MindNode

Make the creation date and time in reminders by default (currently without date and time).

It is impossible to rename an already created List in Reminders.

The subtask from MindNode should be in subtask Reminders
