Switched from MindNode
MindNode recently decided to split their app into two apps (Classic and Next) which caused my older devices to not be able to sync with newer devices. MindSpace does basically everything MindNode does (or at least what I need it for) for a fraction of the cost.

Found it!
So I’d reverted to hand drawn mind maps when iThoughtsX decided to call it quits. It wasn’t for lack of trying, I’d tried them all. I won’t name competitors - they’re all “fine” - but their interfaces have too much friction to be efficient for me. Then I heard about MindSpace and gave it a try. I’m back in love with using my computer (and iPad and iPhone) for Mind Mapping. Big thanks to the developers for this wonderful app. I want to keep this around for awhile so I did an annual subscription for less than I pay for coffee in a day instead of the “lifetime license.” It’s that good that even cheapskate me will pay for an annual subscription. Who’d of thought?

For problem solving and organizing
I like this app, its my way of thinking through complicated problems, and trying to find structure and organization. It's really a big help.

Amazingly capable at a stupid low price
I’ve used a LOT of mind mapping apps from iThoughts to MindNode, and I’d put MindSpace up against any of them for ease of use and capability. The interface is 95% intuitive (which is good because there’s no user manual and very little in terms of other documentation).
I’ve worked with MindSpace on macOS, iPadOS and even iOS and found no missing features. The depth of different layouts is crazy, the ability to tailor the look and behavior of individual branches is fantastic, I love the summary feature (curly bracket pointing at a set of nodes), focus modes work well ... I could go on and on.
I've actually created a video tutorial about it but I can't seem to get the developer's attention to talk about it. I don't do X, and they haven't responded to my emails. Hope this catches their attention!

Clean and Simple
I like this application because it has a very clean interface. This is important especially during mind mapping because when jotting down thoughts one would want an application that provides the least resistance. However this application is weak at its outlining capabilities where it does not offer the same convenience. It is difficult to delete lines. The developer also makes an Outlining app called Deer. I believe Deer should be combined into MindSpace to provide a truly comprehensive experience to doing mind mapping. I believe the developer should also focus on intuitive short keys for a non-intrusive keyboard experience. For example, in the mind map a Backspace deletes a node, instead of the Del key.
Also great, is a one-time payment for all the features than a subscription. Thank you for that, because that’s hard to come by these days.

The Best Mind Map
I have been looking for a mind map tool everywhere and this is so worth it!!
Pls add more tools, including: bullet points; default settings (e.g., nodes & text colors); more shapes, colors/italics/bolded words that can be seen when hovering over a note.

Overall a solid app, but needs a few key fixes and features
This is a really good app with a lot of potential, but there are a few bugs and missing features that are holding it back from being my primary mind-mapping tool.
Bugs & Usability Fixes Needed:
• Trackpad: Currently unable to zoom in or out using a trackpad.
• Moving Nodes: Having to long-press to move a node feels clunky. It would be much better if we could just tap once and drag (like in SimpleMind).
• Photo Syncing: When I upload a photo to one document, it doesn’t sync to the app's overall library. If I want to use that same photo in another document, I have to re-upload it completely.
Feature Requests (to make people switch!):
• Markdown & OPML Import: This is the most important missing feature. Allowing users to import Markdown/OPML and automatically turn them into mind maps would make it so much easier for people to switch over to this app.
• Better Image Handling: Please increase the resolution of imported pictures. Also, it would be incredibly useful to allow drag-and-drop directly from the photo area onto the map.
• Rich Link Previews: It would be great if pasting a website or YouTube link generated a preview picture automatically (similar to Apple's Freeform).
• Visual Tags: Adding visual tags like MindNode would be a huge plus.

Best App I’ve seen in a year
Excellent - The developer empowers thinking. Through careful design, distractions are almost eliminated. Mindspace is now a key part of my work flow. Less, IF it is carefully selected, is more! Well done. Mindspace is the best antidote to AI chat miles. Instead get the right words in mindspace, and you’re all done !!!!!

The performance versus cost is exceptional. Out of ALL my mapping software, I prefer this one.
Why? Because of the focus on the MIND. A great antidote to AI. This app gets me further, with no no AI chat mountain ‘candy’ to wade through.

I find this App very intuitive and it really helps me when I get stuck down a rabbit hole and need to find my way back to see a more rounded view of things.
