Needs an update, badly
I love the minidsp 2x4HD, but I need to re-enter the IP of my device each time I use this app. It needs to catch up to the desktop software.
V1.0.9 broken
- I take back my previous review. The UI is still buggy, but actually the app doesn’t actually work - it sees the unit, but when selecting, it just sits on the next screen and gets stuck showing the progress indicator.

Does nothing. Embarrassment
Loaded, Home Screen is a scam Wi-Fi for devices screen that never finds my SHD. If I input IP address manually, immediately the Home Screen showing input selection, volume, etc. is covered by an error that index.html connection closed. OK is the only option, that returns to the empty scan/add new device screen.
As much as miniDSP charge for their single knobbed units that rely on a networked UI, this is embarrassing for them.
Apparently, the volumio app’s not much better. Nice… I thought we’d gotten past the days of having to use a laptop to drive the system.

Broken
1) Discovery is hit and miss
2) Doesn't allow you to save the manually added device for when the discovery doesn't work
3) First time it connects, there's an index.html error
4) Subsequent time it connects, it just spins

Not ready for prime time
The app loaded. Then it could see the minidsp2x4hd. It showed the IP. When i pressed on the device button, instead of going to the controls, the app just shows a forever spinning wheel and never enables the controls.
After all this time, app still rough
I guess it’s useful to switch between different presets, but the volume slider is basically useless from 0-80% and then extremely sensitive the rest of the way up to max. It needs to be a logarithmic curve like every useful digital volume control ever.

Have to input ip address and password each time.
