The coolest thing is realising that a random person on the other side of the globe is doing something very similar to you at the same exact moment. We are all more similar than the other platforms make us believe!

This is my favorite part of my day! It brings so much joy with the spontaneity and I love that I don’t have the option to make things look “perfect” - it’s just real! I also LOVE seeing little windows into peoples lives across the world!!!! It’s a genius idea and brings me little bursts of happiness and excitement every time I hear the alarm go off! My only request/suggestion would be that sometimes I don’t hear the alarm go off - is this when my phone is on silent? is there a way to change the settings so it always does? Thank you!!

Worst app I have ever downloaded and paid for😡
This is the worst app that I’ve ever seen. It is constantly popping up at the wrong moment and it has no effective use. It’s just the worst app.

minutiae popped up for me on instagram I think, which seems a bit strange since it is a kind of social media antidote. Take one picture right now, without time to pose or consider what the photo “says about me” and do that randomly, one minute at a time. The best part for me is the random matching to another minutiae participant to see their photo. I’ve been matched with people in the same state as me (I’m in the US) and I’ve been matched with people directly opposite me on the planet. And their moments often inspire me, or feel relational - you do that, too? - or are just so randomly beautiful. Love this concept. Grateful to participate.

This app just takes a picture of whatever I’m pointing at once a day. I know it’s some kind of our project, but I can’t wait to see where this is going. And that’s more than I can say for any other app that I have downloaded ever.

That’s the message I get so often, and the way I feel about this app. It’s amazingly cool to see unscripted moments of people around the world. It’s completely frustrating to miss most of your opportunities to do so. And the book is just your pics, when the cool thing is really seeing other peoples’. Why buy a poster of all the times I missed out?

No more matches for me I guess
Was really cool for the first 4-5 weeks, got matched with someone every round and loved that component. How cool, right? Then I started getting no matches here and there, by the end of my third month with the app, I was getting zero matches. Not one. I emailed support and they gave me a pretty generic “oh it’s by chance, and these factors x y and zed, keep at it.”
Welp. It’s been about two months since that. The matches never came back. Not one since contacting support. It’s a shame really. I really wanted this app to work.

Great idea
This is such a great idea. I just wish the app let you customize the notification sound & notification vibration, I’ve missed 2 already because they were buried with other notifications. I’d love to not have to constantly be checking my phone’s every notification in order to not miss this :)

This is a really cool concept but I get most of my alerts when I’m well asleep. If they can help those of us on a different time zone that would be make this great.

Finding the beauty in every minute
I really enjoy this app. I get the notification and I immediately get brought into the present moment, in my physical space, to look for something I want to photograph that expresses my current situation, mood, focus, etc. I really enjoy getting a peek into someone else’s world. It makes me feel connected to another person.

I can already feel it recording something interesting that would otherwise have missed. Love it.
One of my favorite moments of the day
I love the sudden requirement to capture an image of what’s in front of me at that moment and then be able to see what was in front of a random stranger in some other part of the world. The brief scrolling glimpse is fun too. I will say from the range of images, too many people seem to constantly be in front of a screen, either computer or tv. Get outside people!
