Not good
My partner accidentally took a photo showing private bank information. Customer support weren’t helpful. They said ‘just mark the picture as private’. There is NO facility to do that. Unimpressed. Deleted,
Love the Idea
I don’t know if it’s my phone, my connection, or the fact that I don’t hit the notification the second it goes off but after the first photo I took (first time opening the app) it hasn’t been able to capture anything but a black screen every day. Sucks because I was really excited about this concept but it hasn’t been working for me so far

Such a refreshing app
The worst part is the feeling I get when I miss an opportunity to capture a snapshot of my life. I love the simplicity, the inability to control or curate the outcome and the invitation to see life lived authentically across the world.
Just finished my first cycle
I have loved this app over these last 4 years.
It’s such a fun way to make small (previously thought of as insignificant) moments feel like a special joy snack!
This project has been with me for a big break up, multiple first dates, my queer journey, my mom getting cancer, my sister getting married, ME getting married, my medical school graduation and starting residency and so so much more.
Seeing what’s going on with someone else’s life while my life is happening is so grounding- like a pen pal through time.
I encourage everyone to sign up. This project has been a joy to complete. Thank you!

Too quick
I love the idea of taking spontaneous photos BUT the time to take the picture is just a bit too quick and I wish we could 1 retake. Also not happens when the alarm goes off at 3am

I love participating in this. It's sharing your life with a stranger and seeing into the life of someone you don't know. Just for a fleeting matter of seconds. And you will never meet... I am always bummed when I miss the alarm! I can't wait to complete the project and order the book.

I love everything about the Minutiae app—the brief window to take the photo and the black square you get if you miss it. It has shown me that I’m not always on my phone, as I’d suspected. But when I hear that little Morse code alert, I grab my phone and photograph whatever is in front of me. I’m always delighted when I hear it.

Great idea; bad execution
This is fun; could be great fun if it worked properly or if some changes occurred. I do not get notifications daily; it's very sporadic. Also, don't like that you can't go back to look at any of the photos. Once you leave, that's it, you never see again unless you but the book, but who knows if I want to buy the book, if I can't refresh my memory at what I'm missing at the end of the year. At this time I'm not willing to pay for services or books but maybe in the future.

Wonderful memory jogger
I have received my first record. Reviewing it brought back so many memories. Little snippets from my every day life and from big moments. It tells a story of my everyday with little to know effort on my part. I am looking for to my next book.

I love the anticipation of when a notification might come to snap my moment. I’m also excited to see my life “come together” at the end of with the purchasable items. Such a fun, non pushy way to share bits of yourself.

I really like this app. I have connected anonymously with so many people around the world. Been given a glimpse into their lives.
Not what I expected
I paid for more time. But still miss most of the notifications. If it would notify more often it would help. Gonna be a big picture of nada when it’s over.
