That behavior is by design, not a bug. Your iPhone powers the stream to Apple TV, so it must stay awake with Mira open while casting. We state this clearly in the App Store description, on our website, in our documentation, and in every posting about the feature, so there are no surprises. Shuffling broken?

A Polished YouTube Companion
My favorite feature is watch together, which makes it easy to stay in sync with friends while watching videos remotely. I also really like the ability to hide shorts and use the different focus options to customize the experience. Those features have made the app much more enjoyable for the way I use YouTube.
Overall, Mira is well designed, runs smoothly, and is worth checking out if you’re looking for a more customizable YouTube experience.

Thanks for trying Mira and for the feedback! When you say you’d like a “gallery version,” what exactly do you mean? Mira can’t support downloading YouTube videos because YouTube’s terms don’t allow third-party apps to download or store YouTube videos outside of YouTube’s own approved offline features. I don’t believe ProTube on the App Store supports downloading YouTube videos either. If Mira is working well for you otherwise, I’d really appreciate you reconsidering the rating. Thanks again!
