3000 steps per day limit on free version.

Unfortunate as this has real opportunity. However there’s better, comparable, options for free and/or substantially better monetisation schemes.

Thanks for the candid feedback. On the free version, MistyWay records every step, but only 3,000 per day advance the journey. Premium removes that daily progress cap. The full story is still available for free, but progression is slower. I understand why that feels restrictive, and your point about the monetisation model is fair. I’m reviewing that balance. Ummm

I came to this app from a blog stating the app was completely free. So after gaining all access to my personal information, the app then asks for you to pay and no way to bypass for the “free” that was offered. Don’t download this app if you are willing to pay $80 a year for access. I was really excited to use the app and it looks great so I will give 3 stars for presentation.

Good news, your "completely free" version already exists. The full MistyWay story is free to play, no payment unlocks chapters or continues the journey. Premium is optional and only adds capabilities like removing your daily journey-progress cap. On the confusion, if the app made it feel like payment was required, that is on me and not on you. Good game but slight bother

So I have had this game for a bit over a month and have loved it so much as I have stated in a previous review but my new slight bother is you can’t fully ever see the quest story expect for the initial show and acceptance. It also would be nice to be able to have a cleaner gifting option and to have the pacts back because I thought they were quite entertaining for a challenge with a friend and motivator. But besides those small complaints, I have loved it and am no longer having issues with the steps so thank you and amazing app!❤️

Charlie, you were right that quest chapters were too easy to miss. MistyWay 3.2.14 is live now, and every chapter you have opened can be replayed from Hero’s Notes, including its illustration and reveal video. Please remove the AI Slop

I’m extremely disappointed to have paid premium for an app using AI slop for their quest images. It looks bad and it’s disrespectful.
Paying a real artist to do a few quest illustrations *is* affordable, especially when you already are selling customization options.

Please consider removing the AI slop, I liked the app and I don’t want to have to stop using it.

Update since you wrote this. You said paying a real artist for a few quest illustrations was affordable, and you were right. The quest art is drawn by hand now, by Zaruhi Shamiryan, who draws and refines every scene, and the generated images are gone. Thank you for saying it plainly enough that I could not argue with it.
