Continue to impress how awful this application is. One day I will be able to give it a two star.
This app needs a ton of work.
This app has promise but the developers have failed on making this app user friendly. Why does this app put copies of the photos you have uploaded into your device’s library? The photo tag section requires that tags are longer than 3 letters. So you cannot use the acronym PPE (personal protection equipment)

Next gear / core logic / whatever random name
Next gear / core logic / whatever name they’re hiding behind is the worst data collection company I’ve ever had the displeasure of using their products. How they wormed their way so deep into insurance and mitigation companies pockets baffles me. They have been the bane of my sanity and time since they were sold to me as the most perfect software ever developed with zero faults.
Mitigate is the worst option for documentation. It’s slow, buggy, hard to read, hard to put information, hard to see mistakes, can’t handle large jobs, not user friendly, adjuster can’t read it, every “fix” they put in adds bugs and breaks useful features.

Can’t Open Claims
I can not even open my claims. I can’t do any work on the apple version of the app because I can’t not even open the claim up the app just freezes. I’ve tried on multiple different iphones and nothing works. Fix this please!

Terrible software & support
you would think that over the last 10 years this software would evolve and get better and it is still absolutely non-usable junk. If you have the opportunity to use any other platform, I would highly recommend that you do that because this whole enterprise is terrible, it will absolutely make your life worse. This morning I had two hours of work completely disappear for no reason. The first support technician that I spoke with was clueless, and that’s putting it kindly. when he had no solution to my valid questions or complaints, he got mad and hung up on me. I called right back and spoke to another support agent and the exact same thing. they literally have no idea how to use this software. He then got mad and hung up on me as well. There is no yelling or screaming on my end only frustration and I said please explain this to me like I’m four because I cannot get it to work and they simply have no answers.

words cannot describe my frustration with Nextgear
It’s astonishing after years of this company pulling in hundreds of income streams from the companies that pay for this for insurance TPA’s, even after after Dash and Mica, this is what we get. I’m convinced they design this software like this intentionally to please their insurance handlers because every time something fails to make it back to their windows95 data base, insurance doesn’t have to pay for it. How else does a third attempt at an app turn out this bad?

Did you forget about MICA?
So let me get this straight. After we are all forced to jump to MICA, you drop it for this one, which is even worse. We have been extremely patient for years while you guys figured things out but it’s become clear you guys are not in the business of providing SOLUTIONS and making our lives easier but instead siphoning money out of the mitigation process from companies and insurance, wasting our time and burning us out.

Worst thing ever is being on a job and you don’t have what you need to complete . I have a iPhone 15plus and I keep getting a note about my lidr. Very sad . One of the largest companies in our industry technology wise and the platform they offer … that we all use to secure our bag does not work .
Please do something about your app
Crashes during sketch. Seems to be done intentionally. Right in the middle of entering something important. People use this app at work for work purposes. This app is very non dependable.
Unreliable and a liability to your company
The app erases the pictures you take for documentation sometimes.
Huge liability. We use it just because insurance program work requires it, otherwise we would use something else.

This is the worst app I use. By far. Oversold, over promised and not even close to delivered.

This app is just truly bad. I have used MICA for a loooooong time as a mitigation manager.
It had its issues but it at least was user friendly.
Mitigate is not and is purely a tool and extension of the insurance companies at this point.
You legit took away everything positive mica had going for it and gutted it to put your own spin on what was already a decent program.
Please stop any and all work on this and just tweak the older better app.

Anyone who gives it more than 1 doesnt use it.
This app is awful.
I have done mitigation for 17 years now. A majority of that time I preferred to use MICA as a whole.
In 2017 when MICA was bought by next gear, it was fine.
Now fast forward to 2025 & we have this hot garbage.
Every single thing MICA had going for it, mitigate destroyed and took away.
It does not offer a more efficient or simplified interface.
MICA had a simple red, orange, yellow, green color code so you knew what needed attention easier.
Mitigate makes you guess & has no actual flow. Not in any of the 3 views you offer.
It’s clunky, slow, the sketch used to be stream line & now it’s awful & you have to hit a + sign then scroll for every item to be placed where mics had a hot bar.
It’s a super poorly designed app & it saddens me that you destroyed mica.

I just want to do my job like I used to and move on without having to mess around in this thing and deal with all its problems. Should have been finished before it was released clearly it was not

I've been using Mitigate for a while now, and I'm consistently impressed. The real-time data capture is invaluable, and the user-friendly interface makes the whole process so much smoother. I especially appreciate how easy it is to integrate the lidar data, which has significantly improved my efficiency and accuracy in the field.
