Almost perfect
Best shelf customization so far

This might be my favorite review yet, thank you for taking the time to write it all out. 💛 First, good news on the cover bug: an alternate cover reverting to the default was a real issue, and it's fixed in the update that just went live. Please update and it should finally stick. The archive ratings not all showing is new to me, so I'm going to dig into that one this week. Your wish list is wonderful, and honestly a lot of it is already on mine: • A semi-transparent shelf background so your covers are easier to see (and uploading your own image): yes, I want this. • Setting Shelves as your default tab when you open the app: adding that to the list. • A Home Screen widget of your finished shelf: this is the dream, and the thing I most want to build next. You're right that I'm a tiny one-person shop, so thoughtful reviews like this genuinely help me decide what to build first. Thank you for giving MOBS a shot. If more ideas strike you, there's now an "Ask a question" button right in the app (tap your account), and it comes straight to me. 📖 - Megan

Oh, losing hours of your progress is genuinely the worst, and I'm so sorry that happened. Thank you for being so kind about the rest of the app while flagging something that really mattered. 💛 Here's the good news: you found a real bug, and it's fixed. The update that just went live includes a critical fix so a background sync can no longer overwrite what you'd just added (that was the culprit behind your work vanishing when you swiped away and came back), plus reliability improvements across the board. Your edits are saved and protected now. Please update to the latest version and give it another try. I truly don't want you to lose another minute of shelving. And if anything ever feels off again, there's now an "Ask a question / Report a bug" button right inside the app (tap your account), and it comes straight to me. Thank you for sticking with the idea. It means the world. - Megan

You have the ability to scan your books you have to add to shelf and if wanted you can use your own picture of the book and spine to customize. You can add the books to series to easily sort through. If you don’t have a book for said series you can add the missing book to “hunt” aka the books you still need to buy.
You also have the choice to have several different libraries as well, which I love. I get too have my physical library and my kindle library separated.
Of course as most book apps you get to track what you read and the dates you read them as well as the rating you would give.
I would like to say it would be nice they give you an option to add personal notes to the book you’ve read. I’ve also noticed a couple of time now while adding books and pictures my screen will zoom in and no way of correcting the issue other than exiting the app and restarting.
Sorry this was a bit long but this app is definitely worth!!!

Thank you so much for this. I read every word, twice. 💛 You clearly explored every corner (separate physical and Kindle libraries, Hunt, your own spine photos, yes!), and it means the world that the "genuinely free, no paywall" part landed the way I hoped. -And the one thing you wished for, personal notes on your books? It's live now. Update to the latest version and you'll find the new Reader's Journal: dated notes and favorite quotes for every book, and you can even snap a photo of a page and it pulls the text in. You asked, and it's there. 📖 -I also caught that zoom glitch you hit while adding books and photos. A fix is on the way in an upcoming update. Thank you for flagging it so clearly. - Megan
