Can’t earn rewards with discover …
I can’t earn any rewards because I paid with a Discover card., unfortunately, my bank only provides Discover cards now and it’s unfortunate that this restaurant won’t allow me to earn because I have a Discover card. Disappointing.

I had a poor experience, I attempted to order ahead for pickup. I selected items, I was not able to checkout. The thanx api orders validate POST request keep returning a 400.
Excellent food and service
We get a lot of takeout from Moby Dick and do so frequently. They always get the order correct. Their food is delicious, seasoned well and very fresh. Highly recommend.

Unable to change pickup. It always reverts to Herndon!!!!

Tip
I didn’t enter a tip, but it’s still defaulted to 20%. That’s absurd for pick up if it’s gonna be a default it should be no more than 10% by the time I saw it already went through and charge my card.

Used let me use my rewards. Then the rewards disappeared.
Spam notifications
The app has settings to control which notifications you receive. This is great! It even says: “we don’t spam you with needless messages” yet guess what they do? They spam you with notifications that are not related to what you have enabled. For example I only have “when I receive a new reward” enabled and get solicitations to order meals, holidays, and store openings. I’ve contacted “Thanx” (the developer of the app) and they are clueless and just tell me to disable the notifications all together in my iOS settings rather then fix the preferences in their own app. This is sad. They need to take accountability and fix it.
Edit: the copy/pasted developer response is not useful. As mentioned in my original review, I’ve already contacted Thanx support and they have not been helpful.
Update: it’s now been 5 months and support said that the development team has not, and will not fix it. If that’s the case, then the app shouldn’t say “we don’t spam you with needless notifications” when that is exactly what it’s doing.
