A totally useless app.
This is the second year running that we have tried to use the app to verify my wife's continuing existence. We are both fairly computer competent and have used computers ipads and iphones on a daily basis for more than 20 years. The app will not accept iphone photos of passports. We have had to resort to visiting the District Council offices for a signature and a "tampon" again after wasting more than an hour trying to use the app,

Useless
Keeps crashing while uploading the documents. How is my grandma, which is 93 yr old, supposed to use this app? It’s not user friendly, nor appropriate for older people.

Simply won’t take a picture of my British passport

Absolutely worthless
I have tried to use this app three years running. It has never worked despite me accurately following directions and trying multiple times. Each time it says my document is not useable. Then to add insult to injury after repeated attempts the app refuses to try again and instead says I must use paper documentation. This is a complete waste of time

I installed this app successfully last year and managed to submit my Certificate de Vie online. Great system I thought and told lots of people how efficient it was. Now however one year later it won’t accept the same passport (which has always been in my married name). All of the documentation / emails etc are sent to my married name but the App now seems to use my maiden name so of course it no longer recognises my passport. What a load of nonsense. Ridiculous flaw in the system.

Je viens de recevoir la demande de certificat de vie. Fait en 2 minutes, des lors que j’ai scanné le QRcode. Une vraie simplification. Merci.
Mauvaise application !
Dès le scanning du QR code l’application ne fonctionne pas. Même chose en utilisant l’ ordinateur au lieu de mon IPhone . Tout a fonctionné normalement l’ an dernier. J’ai donc dû envoyer mon certificat par la poste . Cette application est une inadmissible disgrâce. Remplacez votre département IT!

Can’t validate passport
Tried this my mother-in-law but it just will not accept the perfect passport picture. I assume, like the other reviewer, because she uses her married name it keeps being rejected.

Does not work in US in 2026
Last year, 2025, it worked fine. However, in 2026 it merely turns on my iPhone camera and nothing more. What is going on?
Almost impossible site
As the notary public at my bank refuses to put stamps and signature on the life certificate itself ,as it is now forbidden by the attorney general .
He attached a separate form in English with signature and stamps to the certificate of life you provided .It was rejected by my caisse de retraite

Does not work for married women
My wife received the email in her maiden name. Brand new passport fails every time with message saying couldn’t be automatically checked. It seems to be checking the passport name which is her married name and is on their system against her maiden name so will never work and no info given as to what to do next. Perhaps the developer could reply to us to confirm this or fix this.
