Bait and switch
Developer decided to retire this app after selling a lifetime subscription offering. Very upset.
Bug fix version upgrade, Explore stops working
Delete and reinstall fails in same way. Likewise on iPad and macOS, even with iCloud sync settings off. Coincidence? Call me skeptical given that paid users are being forced to pay again for version 7. Fool me twice? This user will find an alternative instead. Sad; I liked Mona and was an early paid user but this reeks of sleaze

Last perpetually licensed version
Enjoy what for a while was the best fedi client around, while the author is kind enough to still support it. This app is great but the next major version is already available and now subscription only (to new subs).
Bait & Switch
I would have rated this app pretty highly, but the developer has shunted all the lifetime paying users into “Mona Classic” so they can get new paying users for updates to a new app, Mona 7. Mona 7 is literally the same app with continuing updates. This is a lousy bait and switch tactic.
OK, Some Bugs and Inconsistencies
Overall it’s just OK. Not worth the asking price. There’s a longstanding bug that completely locks the UI up after viewing a full screen photo. This is random and doesn’t happen all the time but when it happens, it requires a relaunch, or backgrounding.
Also the replies to some posts just don’t load, even if I choose to “Load from Remote Server.” The count is correct but the replies don’t load. Toot! works, so it should work here, also.
The app doesn’t use some of the server-provided/enabled features. For example, the private notes and mute/block lists are app-only, while the server has support. This means that if I add some note to an account, I can only see it in this app. Or if I mute someone, they’re only muted here.
And of course it’s now abandonware, as the developer has a new version that has switched to being an extractive, ie rental/subscription, service. So there’s no guarantee or promise that any of these issues will be addressed. Who’s to say that the developer won’t pull the same thing again with the new version?

Abandoned Bait & Switch
There was no need for a new version and even less need to charge lifetime users again.
promising at first, what a waste
had the potential to be the best mastodon/fedi client available. but the developer stopped fixing bugs not long after release and then pivoted to a different app so everyone that paid for this one is sunk. meh
Paywalling basic features is criminal
Imagine having to pay to favourite and repost other posts… Worthless app.
Mostly good
If you’re on multiple Mastodon instances, this is the app for you. It’s reminiscent of the old Tweetdeck, if you remember that. But, it has a tendency to lockup from time to time. While it has improved in this area over time, it still happens.
easily my favourite Mastodon client (and I’ve tried many)
Highly configurable — makes Mastodon even more of a pleasure.

Okay but 30 bucks???
Too rivh for my blood. I appreciate you're not collecting any user data at least (right?).

Nice
No tracking. No subscription. Works well. Reasonably priced. Would be great to be able to turn off swipe actions, my shaky hands keep ending up back on the menu. The federated feed jumps when it refreshes.
Keyboard problem
I purchased your app, but when the window appears to write my text, even if I try to write with the keyboard, it doesn't work. I send you messages and you do nothing. I can only add text to describe an image.
Perfect
This app is loaded with features and is extremely customizable. Yet somehow it’s also very smooth and polished. This has become the app I use most on my iPhone.
Almost perfect
Fix the notification sound for this app and it will be perfect. It’s unbelievable how loud the notifications are for this app when you have headphones in.
Best Mastodon client hands down
I tried every single Mastodon app that wasn’t subscription-based and this is by far the best. It’s fast, sleek, stable, and super customizable, and unlike some others out there, it also works flawlessly with Pleroma instances. Absolute gem, I bought the Pro Max upgrade within a week or two and haven’t regretted it once.
The only feature I miss is the ability to emoji react on servers that support it (i.e. Pleroma). Dev, if you’re reading this, I’ll definitely send you a big tip if you can make it happen. Can provide details via email if necessary, but take a look at how Soapbox handles it, that’s basically what I have in mind.
Either way, thanks for your amazing work.

Incredible But…
I love that you can either pay for one app, (iPhone, iPad, or Mac), or pay one price and have an app for iPhone, iPad, AND Mac. The customization seems to be immense. The only problem is that you can’t try any of it until you either sign up for a 14 day trial of the Pro Max version (includes iPhone, iPad, and Mac), or actually pay for an individual version (iPhone, iPad, or Mac). You can’t even favorite or boost a post. You can comment, but to decide whether to pay that price, there needs to be a more expansive demo mode. I don’t like having to sign up for a 14 day trial period for all three devices, If I only want one for my phone. In order to try all of the features on different device types, there is the potential to forget to cancel the trial, and get charged.
