Frustrating at times
The app seems okay, I like that it offers many languages. The lessons are all over the place and could be better organized and more flexible. Mondly could also easily offer lesson plans based on the users goal. I am learning for travel yet I end up sifting through unrelated and generally unhelpful content. Having focused learning plans seems like it would be pretty easy and would make the app so much better.
The app is frustrating at times with its speech recognition, or lack of. I’ve recorded the app saying a word and played the recorded back and the app won’t recognize the word. The deeper I get the more I run into words the AI simply won’t pick up on. This wastes time and is frustrating.
There is also a real lack of conversational content that’s not scripted. I’ve downloaded a second app for that.

Wrong language
I’m trying to do Ukrainian lessons but it keeps teaching me Russian words?! I know enough to be able to tell the difference thankfully but they’re two different languages and shouldn’t be mixed up at all!!!
Easy to use but not sure of the practicality of the lessons
I've used a few lessons and find it very engaging. I am brushing up on modern Greek and found that the lessons are focused on phrases and topics that aren't practical on a day-to-day basis. I need to find my hotel order something at the restaurant find a bathroom get on a taxi. I don't need to tell somebody I'm interested in architecture.

Very Fun!!
The bottom line is…I got this wanting to learn Spanish. And after 3 years, I only remember 2 things, hola, and adios. This app teaches you nothing! It stinks! I’ve started using Duolingo, and it is so much better! And it’s free! I’ve learned so much more from it! Whatever you do… NOT EVER BUY OR USE MONDLY! It’s a. Complete waste of your time and money!

So it’s a helpful app and everything but whats up with the creepy music every time it says the internet is slow even when it isn’t like its freaking me out
Looses connection
Even with a strong signal, it will error out with losing a connection. Makes it difficult to use hands free while driving. Cuts you off when speaking.

Todo va bien hasta que te pone el robot a repetir estas pronunciando bien y el te responde con otras palabras que no estas diciendo. Que mal inversion en esto estoy decepcionada

I’m so glad Mondly has Catalan as an option! I wish the lessons moved a little faster with more dialogue longer than one sentence. I also wish I didn’t have to click so much—I wish the screen would advance automatically more often. Thank you.
AI incorporated
Downloaded this today on the free trial did like 10 mins and just had to stop as the ai slop art was so bad. You are telling me you couldn't find a stock image of a man waving? and had to ai it? lazy. If you had to cut corners with the art and pictures what else have you cut corners with? In the description it states there are 100+ convos with native speakers, how do I know that is true? Could all that be fake? Its getting harder and harder to find language learning apps that don't incorporate ai. Tbf i liked the premise of it all but the ai art put me off greatly as i don't know if any of it is correct as ai is terribly inaccurate

The speaker's pronunciation is bad, the speaker's speed is fast, the Persian meanings are primitive and not the real meaning, and the language used is street language, which is wrong.

Deberían incluir español de España y Español de Latinoamérica porque hay muchas respuestas que según yo están correctas y me las marca mal!! O sea ahora no solo necesito aprender un segundo idioma si no que necesito aprender español de España también )= quien carambas le llama barca a un bote? Aparte de los españoles!?
