Steve Jobs would have done this

This app absolutely nails it. No unnecessary frills--just a clean, straightforward design that works perfectly. I was able to try it for free with multiple accounts and test iCloud sync before committing. The icing on the cake is its ability to connect to virtually any bank in the world. Unbelievably ingenious. This feels like the kind of app Steve Jobs would have used when building Apple.

Verification code nightmare

You have to log into the bank every time, it takes very long time to connect each bank, and now I don’t even get to the verification code screen to enter it! It’s not working!

Bad

Hate this painfully generic icon they just updated to instead of making the unique wallet icon into a liquid glass design. There doesn’t seem to be any liquid glass within the app as stated. Same constant nag to go premium every single time I open the app. An inconvenience I’ve expressed willingness to pay for to go away (like a cheaper ad-free subscription). I wonder if the developers realize that after seeing this nag 10,000 times people might be more interested in deleting the app than buying premium.

Does not work as advertised

No longer sync’s between devices, does not download transactions from financial institutions. Completely useless and a total waste of my annual subscription, unfortunately as I am 6 months in I cannot claim a refund.

Interface is Trying

I was an early adopter of Money, and then left it for quite a while, and recently, as Quicken upped their subscription fees, I thought I’d give it another go. Unfortunately the UI is just a pain to work with. There are no quick keys for anything. As part of my accounting I add receipts to my interactions, a drag and drop option on a lot of other accounting apps, but here, you have to pull up the pop up menu, then drag and drop. And then, it doesn’t attach the file or copy it to a new directly, it just links to it on your computer. So you need to keep everything organized and named. And then there’s the split function. I don’t get the apps that don’t automatically calculate for splits, but require you to do the math yourself. It’s super frustrating for those of us who are splitting off shipping or taxes, (which I have to do with 90% of my credit card transactions.) It just slows the entire process down so much. And of course, there’s not much in the way of reports etc. It’s just not a good interface for actually doing any work.

Just to clarify a couple of points: attachments added to transactions are stored within the app’s database, so they’re not simply linked to external files, and they are also synced across your devices. For splits, the app does support automatic calculations — if a total amount is set, it will suggest the remaining balance as you enter split lines, and if not, it will sum the splits into a total. This is my GO TO money app

I have been using this app for years and I’ll never leave! The forecasting is my favorite (only wish it was easier to get to (several clicks)) but has helped us budget our money and handle all the comings and goings. I personally manually log everything vs the sync but still love it!

Can we have a cheap subscription just to turn off the pop up advertising premium every time? I’m sick of seeing it interrupt my use of the app each and every time for years.

No longer supports my bank

I’ve been using Money app for about 5 years. I’ve recommended it to people, but unfortunately I can no longer support them. They stopped supporting my bank several months ago, but didn’t inform me. I’ve been trying various ways to connect my bank and money app again, but to no avail. When reaching to customer service, all I received was “we’re working on it”, and then silence.

Hopeless

This app is ridiculously slow to connect to banks. Days. And then it is often incorrect. I’d love to find an alternative account aggregator.

It tracks your expenses at best

No updates, just bug fixes. I’ve been using this a while now, and you still have to physically input the period with every transaction. It would be nice to get some new features, but I don’t think this app is a priority with the developers. I’ll probably find another at some point.

Programma eccezionale per la gestione delle finaze domestiche e non. Servirebbero diverse implementazioni che nella versione 3 esistevano ma sono scomparse nelle versioni successive. Non c'è più interesse da parte degli sviluppatori ad andare avanti, almeno così è quello che sembra. Comunque rimane un punto di riferimento.

Best app

It has been 6 years of consistency and joy adding transactions one by one. I'm proud of my budget, thanks to this app. I'd wish better analytics and insights, especially having ML or AI in mind, but five star review is here anyway.

Help is Abysmal

Can not figure out whether or not this program can connect directly to financial institution. Spent 5 minutes browsing help and did not find a solution. So the program went in the trash!

Very pleased

I have been using Money from Jumsoft for over ten years and have just upgraded to latest version due to new computer. Very easy to use and set up with improved user interface from the old version I was using. Does just what I want it to do, highly recommended.

Great app ruined by unreliable bank sync and no support

I’ve been using Money since the early versions, long before the App Store. It used to be a simple and dependable bookkeeping app, which was perfect for small personal or business use.
Unfortunately, the recent versions rely on a third-party service (Salt Edge) for bank connections, and that system is fragile. Once a bank connection breaks or links to the wrong account, there’s no clear way to reset it. My personal and business accounts got mixed up, and six days later I’m still waiting for a reply from support.
The app itself is still elegant and the right level of simplicity for basic bookkeeping, but the unreliable sync and complete lack of customer support make it very difficult to trust.
If you plan to enter your data manually, it’s still a solid choice. But if you expect reliable bank syncing or helpful support when things go wrong, be prepared for frustration.
