The name change is terrible.
There was NO reason to change the name to Monterra credit Union.
The original name was The San Mateo Employees Credit Union. This name represents all those hard working individuals in San Mateo County. Then it was shortened to San Mateo Credit Union. Understandable. BUT whomever decided the name Monterra CU , so does that mean this bank is in Monterra , California?
The original name shows history and class. Even the abbreviated name was good. I hope the suckass who came up with this name feels real good. Iโd love to meet that person and tell them what a STUPID name . However the employees are the best.
