Be Careful!!!
I would caution anyone considering using MoonPay for crypto trading of any kind. They allow unverified tokens, most often being scam tokens representing themselves as the legit ones, whereby if you buy one, you will lose all of your money. This happened to me with Monero (XMR) tokens. I purchased several hundred dollars of what I believed to be legit Monero tokens, only to find out later by MoonPay that I’d been scammed. As far as I’m concerned, MoonPay should compensate me for this since they allowed this scam token to be purchased on and through their platform, but oh hell no, they refuse to take any responsibility for this at all. So now I’m stuck with fake XMR tokens which MoonPay will not allow me to liquidate, nor will they compensate me for my lost funds. A simple warning message on all of their tokens does not legally absolve them of responsibility for having this token present and available to trade on their platform, especially given they should know better than to have two separate token offerings that have the exact same information and trade patterns as the real one.
I’ll never again use MoonPay for any type of buying, selling, and/or trading again. If MoonPay is unwilling to build in security guards and protocols into their platform to prevent things like this from happening, they should at minimum, allow the fooled users to recoup some of their lost funds. Instead they still stand by this XMR tokens does, which I can now see if clearly fraudulent, yet they continue to refuse to assist me in any way with regards to the token. So technically I own nothing but a fake token, and I’d guess that MoonPay does this on purpose as a way to scam users out of their funds and into their own wallets.
I am also in the process of filing a federal claim associated with this nonsense across multiple platforms

Stealing XRP and digital assets
Wouldn’t recommend using this site as they will receive your crypto but will not send your crypto back. They will blame it on their process to send crypto back even when it’s the same wallet you sent it from. They will take it within minutes but then say they can’t send it out. Now I don’t see my XRP on their site. Would recommend using other crypto platforms. This one is very disappointing in the time delay and excuses they give for stealing people crypto.

This company stole my mothers information - some one who has never heard of Crypto wallets - and refuse to refund her. Corporate indicated that it’s basically her problem. This place is a scam, I spoke to a worker from MoonPay and they indicated that this is common. You can delete this but I will keep writing it so other people don’t get scammed. I am going to BBB and reporting you. This is disgusting.

Simple and fast
Great, but support is not present
Had my account for a few yrs then all of a sudden i breached terms and conditions, figured out i was accused of having multiple accounts which i don’t. Contacted support which they did do a great job at responding but they just send you to “someone who can help” even though i was sent to them and told they were the right team. They don’t say much outside sorry for the inconvenience and we will investigate, just for no answer for a few days then a we have resolved the issue. Nothing was said, no confirmation no nothing. The app itself is really good, but the ppl running it, suck. Which tells me they don’t have a good support team or they don’t fund an internal team. Also they are synced to trust wallet etc. so that’s also messed up for me had to withdraw my funds from them both. Great but they did me wrong 🤦🏾♂️

They restricted my account without any reason and when I asked the reason they told me we are not able to tell you and you can’t activate it again . I had lots of problems with my buying crypto just for the only time I tried.

Scam
Moonpay is a scam. They are a 3rd party app that relies on other apps. Soon everyone using it will see this and use stand alone apps. By doing so you take business from moonpay and it will save you money. No need to bounce between apps. If you accidentally or unknowingly violate their terms of service, they will permanently deactivate your account and will not tell you what you did wrong. I have already gotten 3 of my friends to stop using moonpay. I will do my best to facilitate this company’s demise
