Great Concept, Needs Better Metrics & Integrations
For Users:
This is honestly a really fun and motivating app. The team-based competition aspect does a great job of encouraging people to stay active, compete, and push themselves. If you enjoy fitness challenges with friends or groups, this app absolutely delivers on that experience.
My main hiccups as a user are occasional syncing inconsistencies with certain apps/devices and the forced rest day between competition periods. I understand why the rest day likely exists for scoring and leaderboard processing, but it can still be frustrating when you want to stay active or log lighter recovery-based activities like yoga, stretching, mobility work, or physical therapy that still contribute to overall fitness.
For Developers:
This app has a BUNCH of potential, but I genuinely think the biggest opportunity right now is deeper metric integration.
Apps like Strava, Garmin, Strong, Nike Run Club, etc. already collect incredibly detailed fitness data, and Moove could become significantly stronger by utilizing more of it. Right now, some integrations feel surface-level.
For example:
- Cycling metrics should factor in elevation gain, power output, ride difficulty, and effort — not just mileage.
- Strength-training apps like Strong should ideally consider workout intensity, volume, or exercise data instead of mostly workout duration.
- More accurate syncing consistency across apps/devices would go a long way.
Timezone flexibility would also be a huge improvement. Having everything tied to Central Time can get confusing when competing from other regions.
Overall:
the foundation is strong. This app genuinely motivates people to move more, compete, and stay active — and with deeper integrations and smarter metrics, it could become something really special.

Great app!
Moove is easy to use and incentivizes me to work out.
Best App Ever
I love how this app gets you competing and motivates you to keep moove-ing!
Wish I never installed this app
The app forces you to stop working out, but doesn’t force you to start.
Had a great routine where I worked out everyday, but this app forces you to take 2 days off. Completely threw my routine in disarray.
I don’t need that kind of negativity in my life

Bad
Impossible to scroll through the app. Can’t scroll through the activity tab without it glitching. I also kept getting errors when trying to sync health data, then one day it magically worked? Design is not intuitive. I can’t see my own photos I’ve posted. It’d be cool to see individual people’s previous activities

Edit
I made a dbl entry by mistake. No way to correct it.

Love it!
Great way to stay motivated!
Love the game aspect.
Love the game aspect.
Love this app!
This app is amazing! It has helped me get up and move when I just didn’t want to. I’ve worked out more using this app then any other. It makes it so much fun!
Motivating and fun way to get fit!
I’ve been using the Moove app for corporate fitness challenges both internally and externally and everyone who participates LOVES it! It’s such a great way to motivate yourself and others towards a healthier lifestyle, while having fun. We have created our own rewards system, where the winning team receives gift cards etc at the end of the season. Would highly recommend it for a team building or sales initiative!

Riddled with bugs, no fitness tracker integration, won’t use again
The company I work at is doing a fitness challenge using this app, and the app has gotten in the way more than it has helped.
Numerous bugs around “rest days” and activities that had been entered disappearing have added an extra random element to the challenge which is rather frustrating and demotivating. There were multiple times when a normal day was deemed a rest day by the app and so entering data for that day was blocked. There was also an instance where the app seemed to think the week was over on Wednesday.
Without any sort of fitness tracker integration, workouts get normalized to the point of ridiculousness. (Comparing workouts based on METS only works if you can measure the amount effort/energy/power put into each workout.)
Really disappointed. I won’t use the app again and am reluctant to do another fitness challenge through my work.

Best way to stay active
My friends from college and I started a team during the height of the pandemic and have been competing ever since. We are pretty spread out so keeping in touch is hard but moove helps us keep in touch.
I love Moove
Was in a funk with working out. Made a team with my friends and we had a blast. Fun and accountable, can’t wait for the next season!
