Still a failure of programming on the iPad app.

The app fails to update my portfolio on a nightly basis, so it might show my S&P 500 fund down one percent, when it actually went up one percent. I’ve gone back and forth with their tech support for months, and they seem clueless on finding the issue. I’m using an iPad. It shows up correctly on my iPhone, and on the web site itself. I’ve pointed all this out, but the Morningstar techs either can’t figure it out, or just don’t care.

Can’t login

No matter what, every time I try to login to my account via the app, I get the error that my credentials aren’t valid yet I can successfully login to the Morningstar website.

Clicking the “App Support”button in the App Store takes you to the nonexistent website socialize.morningstar.com/feedback/feedbackform.asp

Terrible App- 0 stars

This app just doesn’t work. Did not recognize my credentials and no way to even try correcting them. Deleted the app.

Peggy’s Watchlist

Doesn’t allow me to enter my own watchlists.
I see no option to add my watchlists!!
What am I missing?

Changes

Too many changes making mutual fund analysis more difficult. Used to be able to use tool to sort by multi year return vs category above or below, etc seems like it is being dumbed down.

Morningstar best source of equity and bond research

The best investment guide ever

Can’t login with Morningstar account

I can connect my account on my phone with Morningstar Investor, but this app for iPad says credentials don’t match.

Unable to access my account

I have an active subscription, but when using the iPad version it does not allow logins.

Multiple prompts for use, name password and then signin optionis displayed again.

Fortunately the web version still works. Hope they can fix this.

Bugs

App. has gotten very buggy and can’t rely on it anymore. Too bad because it used to be good.

Excellent

I find MS to be the best financial investment support tool.

Doesn’t recognize my premium subscription

I have a premium subscription. When I sign in on my iPhone, iPad (through the browser), or my computer…no problems. This app doesn’t allow me to see premium features.

Unusable

All login attempts fail. Checked login info by logging into Morningstar via browser and my credentials are correct, issue lies with the app.

Bug in the app

I can’t log in in the app

Not totally useless

It’s ok for articles and videos

Constant reinstalls, portfolio feature unreliable

I pretty much have to delete and reinstall this app on a daily basis. Mutual fund prices on the portfolio feature often revert to prices from two or three days previous; stock price info is relatively OK. This app continues to get worse with each revision.

Glitching App

Unable to login into the app. Just started a trial and am able to login with my password on phone and desktop, but the login feature for the app keeps saying wrong info then freezing up. If this is not resolved before my trial window ends I will be taking my business elsewhere. Not impressed!

Why the horizontal view on iPad!?

It’s 2025. Join the rest of the readable apps. Deleted 5 seconds after this review. Bye.

Terrible

This is a terrible app. I have a subscription that works fine on the website, but the app doesn’t allow me to login at all. App only works in landscape orientation like it’s still 2010. It’s like they spent a whopping $2 on the iPad app design.

I miss the ability to get immediate distributions when I tap on a fund.

Poor iPad app

This is pretty poor iPad add not sure it is making in to this competitive market
