you can put the app in the background and just listen to audio. you can indeed do multitasking while this app is playing. changed the review to 5 star from 3;

They go through all the expense of creating the network and the app, and then they fails to incorporate a simple pip, a function that has been around for many years. if you are using the phone to watch this network, you still want to be be able to do other things with you phone. under present configuration, you can’t. very disappointed.

No screen-off audio
Audio disconnects when you shut your phone screen off. Forces you to drain your battery and look at your phone when you’d rather be working and listening to the programming.
Need to play in background
Would like audio to play when screen is off or while working in other apps
