Currently unusable
I love my MC6 Pro, but I cannot use the app because the keyboard doesn’t appear when I enter a text box. So obviously it’s impossible to change the names of any presets or banks. While this probably won’t replace using my MacBook Pro for more substantial editing, I hope this problem gets fixed so I can use the iOS version for a quick edits.

Inconsistent performance
App barely works on iPad, has very inconsistent performance and has so far regularly required restarting just to get it to communicate with the device.
iPhone keyboard doesn’t work
Cannot input text when connected via lightning
No keyboard functionality
I was hoping to connect my Morningstar controller to my iPhone to edit. The keyboard function does not work. They will have to write code to get this up and running. For me, this is a huge drawback. I can only use a laptop.

Yes, please add bank arrangement functionality so I don’t have to drag out my laptop just for that one task…thanks!
The iOS virtual keyboard fails to load as long as my MC6 is connected.
Edit: I raised my rating by one star because I was able to get things working adequately with a bluetooth keyboard I remembered I had buried in a drawer. It seems I’m able to get full functionality that way, but the fact that I had to go that route at all still stands as a strong mark against the overall user experience with this app.
I should probably add that while my MC6 is connected to my iPad, it disables the virtual keyboard in all applications, not only the Morningstar Midi Editor.

I was excited at the prospect of being able to edit presets and all the rest from my tablet. I hate being tied to my computer when I’m creating patches and programming things on my pedalboard. I generally prefer to do all this directly on the devices themselves if at all possible. My experience so far with my MC6 mkII has been great.
However, whenever I try to use the iOS app to edit anything on my unit, the virtual keyboard fails to load, preventing me from really doing much of anything. Without the ability to name banks, presets, or anything at all while working, the app is pretty much useless. I’m very disappointed by this, Morningstar. I had so far been wholly impressed with everything about this unit. With this app, not so much at all. It would be nice if you could remedy this.

It’s great! Just missing one feature on iPad
Love that I can edit with just an iPad. The only thing I’d love to be able to do and can’t, would be to have the ability rearrange the banks in the app. That’s the only feature It feels like the app could use. Other than that it great!!
