I paid for 1 year and it keeps trying to bill me. I deleted the app cancelled the subscription and it wonât stop trying to pull from my account. Now because it wants more money I canât use my App Store until these thieves stop trying to charge me

Never prompted me to make an account, lost all my data
Iâve been using this app for years now, paying for the subscription for years now.
Lately, whenever I opened any menu, it would freeze. I did the updates, closed the app, restarted my phone, nothing fixed this issue. So, I figure, I must have to delete and reinstall it. Little did I know I would lose all of my data, favourites, collections, custom written quotes I have been building for years even though I have been paying for a subscription through my apple account all these years.
Not once was I ever prompted to make an âaccountâ.
When installed it asks you all these details about your preferences, you name, etc, but never did it prompt me to actually âset up an accountâ or âLoginâ
When you click the little person icon, it lets you customize everything about your app, but you have to actually go into the settings to âmake an accountâ or âLoginâ.
never mind the fact that manage subscription is at the very top, and account is below âabout youâ and âmake it yoursâ and all the categories that fall under those.
While the app provides many categories and search options, this lack of thought to prompt paying subscribers to âmake an accountâ

I first got this app around the time it came out. There was paywalled content but it was still usable if you didnât want a subscription. Now? I wouldnât even bother downloading. Basic settings and functions are paywalled and you can barely get anywhere without being asked to sign up for their subscription. You used to be able to create custom wallpapers for free but now even thatâs paywalled.

I have to admit, it works.
Surprisingly i can see how my mentality has gradually began to evolve. It trickles in a healthy mindset endlessly which makes an impact over time. It feels like money invested in my mental health without going as far as therapy.

First I want to say that I LOVE this app and had planned to subscribe in some capacity prior to the below âFree 3 Day Trialâ issue. If the below wouldnât have happened this app would be receiving a 5-star review. Instead I am giving 1-star only because zero is not an option!
I am completely unhappy with my free trial/subscription experience!! On July 8th I downloaded and agreed to a free 3 day trial that said it was from July 8th - July 11th and that if I did not cancel before then I would be charged. Keep in mind the amount I would be charged would be for a years subscription (only option that allowed me a free trial), which is over $50. So I agreed and even set up a reminder on my phone to cancel the subscription. I went in and cancelled the subscription on July 11th @ 12:22am and thought I was good to goâŠwrong!! Now my App Store account is locked and I canât make any purchase (even free) or update apps because I have a pending charge for $51.35 for this app. The app that I cancelled the subscription renewal for BEFORE the 3 day trial ended!
I have reported this to Apple but have no idea if anything will actually be done. I donât have an extra $50 laying around to just go ahead and pay for it and hope that a refund will be issued on the back end. And even if I did I should not have to! I followed the terms I was given.
If there is anything that this Developer can do to help I would greatly appreciate it! And I will 100% provide updates to this review if this issue is corrected in any way. I feel like other potential customers should be aware though, in the meantime.
