Accurate mountain forecasts
Came across this app by chance. Like the detail on base cloud level, rainfall amounts and timings together with levels. Currently using free version and level of ads just right
Worth premium
I normally hate paid subscription/paywall apps but as of this writing it’s only $3.99 for monthly and worth every penny for what I’ve found to be a pretty accurate forecast on several climbs.

The best mountain weather app in the game. Multi-elevation reports and long range forecast’s are key when planning trips into the backcountry.
Dreadful
Absolutely dreadful UI and terrible user experience. Possibly one of the worst I’ve seen! The forecasts are generally always wrong! Very typical of mountain-forecast.com. They are aways inaccurate. Just avoid this app, it’s dreadful.
The Final Puzzle Piece
Instead of piecing the forecast together from multiple apps and websites Mountain Forecast has been the one stop shop for the most accurate forecasts per mountain. Normally I’d have to make my own predictions based off general location data. Now it’s as easy as looking up your mountaineering subject of choice and bingo everything you will need all in one place. It’s been extremely accurate for me so far. I 100% put trust in Mountain Forecast for my weather info. Perfect for making sure I stay safe and prepared out in the mountains. I highly recommend giving it a try and use it along side your normal weather forecasting process and see what gives you better results and ease of use. For full transparency I pay for the subscription and think it is worth the price, data and ease of use make it a great value. In my opinion you can’t put a price on making it home safely after a trip out into the mountains and accurate forecasts are essential!

Units of measurement
It would be nice to switch between imperial and metric. If this is possible it’s not intuitive. I’ve looked online and in the app.
Note that I get the extended forecast because I pay for GAIA. This subscription gets me access to mountain forecast, skier mag and I think all other Outdoor Mag websites

Use it to plan all my mountain trips
The app is intuitive and easy to use. All the info I need to plan my hiking and backpacking trips. The cloud base data is especially helpful. I’ve found the forecasts to be pretty reliable, especially within a few days out.

I struggled to find a good weather app to help forecast my local mountains, and this is literally the most accurate tool ever. Premium subscription is definitely worth it!

Don’t rely on your local forecast for what is happening in the mountains. This app will help you plan much better trips.

Mountain-Forecast is an excellent source of detailed current and future mountain weather. This level of information is crucial when planning for and hunting elk in high elevation mountains.
Great app for mountaineers
Having tested it on 4 4000m-ers in the European Alps to the summit of each and various summits on the Scottish mainland plus islands, this app gives a good clear synopsis of the next few days of weather quite accurately, in particular wind speeds and freezing levels proved to be most accurate. Well done - recommended for mountaineers.
