KEEPS MY CATS INTEREST
My cat is an 8y old female who I rescued at 2w old. I taught her to hunt real mice via toy ones. This proved effective when she caught 2 live ones in our new apartment.
I decided to see if something besides a laser pointer would hold her interest. This game does. Teaching an 8y old feline to play a virtual game requires patience and rewards be it verbal or treats.
At first she’d watch me tap the screen and listen to the mice squeak but tried to follow the them under either my iPhone or iPad.
Bast would then try to scent them so I added a little catnip to the screen. That produced nose bumps to the mice. That got us to over 10 hits.
I tilted it up to a 45’ angle and the paw started hitting the mice.
She’ll watch and play for about 5’-10’ minutes depending on street noises or my motion. I found if I left the room she bopped the mice more frequently with higher scores.
Now if I’m not using the iPad she signals she wants the game on by sliding her front paws under the device while trying to lift the cover. I just hope this doesn’t start in the middle of the night lol! 🙀
She sometimes just watches the screen but is fully engaged with her body language mirroring screen activity.
I think the younger the cat the more interactive and interested they’d be but I’m impressed she interacts with it engaging my 8y old kitty. The only other virtual image she loves is from the first Avatar movie when the ‘birds’ flutter through the forest. No one believed me until I videoed it. I’m glad to see game developers noticed similar behavior in our feline friends and acted on it.
Since she’s started playing this Bast has stopped hiding my cell phone-kudos and thanks to the developers! 😺😸😺

Best I’ve found
I’ve been on the hunt (ha) for games and videos for my cat Woody. There are loads of boring games but the very worst ones also interrupt the game with ads.
This one holds his attention the best by far. The free version only limits options, but doesn’t force ads.
Graphics are better than other apps we’ve looked at, and randomness of the play keeps a smart cat interested.
We had the free version for a long time and it was great. Paid version well worth it though.
I’ll be watching for another apps from this developer.

Great game. Volume goes out
My one cat goes crazy over this game but gets stressed out when there’s no volume because it goes out all the time so I have to keep restarting it and have her play it again. Is there any possible way you can fix the volume from going out? Thank you.

You can teach an old cat new games
My cat is 16. She is too old for nonsense and lets you know it. We have so many unappreciated toys from things I saw online. She thinks I’m ridiculous with that flapping bird.
Then I gave her the mouse game on the iPad. She’s never really interacted with the iPad, just watched some bird YouTube videos. At first it was overstimulating and the mouse going off the edge of the screen gave her like kitty anxiety because she kept trying to dig under the iPad for it. I changed it in settings to one mouse, slow, and can’t exit the screen.
Now she’s a little iPad kid. If I sit on the couch and hold my iPad in my hand she’s decided that means it time for her game. Each session only lasts a few minutes because she’s old and gets tired and overstimulated easy, but it feels like this is the most excited she’s been in a while. I love watching her expend a little more energy and play.

This game does not lie! My cat loves this game and I love the new game modes and that you can change the speed to low or high. The low setting is perfect for older cats and can be entertaining for all! 😍 My cat gets bored easily so she doesn’t catch the mice she just looks at them. 😅 I love how after every 100 hits you can play a new game like the giant spinning mouse or the fast running mice! You can change the size of the mice to make it easier for older cats. This game allows all cats of different personalities to play!

Needs a lock screen option
My cat loves the game, but after two or three seconds, he always manages to flip screens because of his way of swiping. I wish it had a lock screen option
Couldn’t open the game
Great game for the first little while cats loved it. Then when I closed out the game then tried to come back it froze at 100% every time and I had to reinstall the game to open only once

My cat loved it but...
Basically, I got this game for my cat and he absolutely loved it. The only problem is is that when I close the app then open it again, after I open it the game just gets stuck on the loading screen and freezes. So I have to reinstall the app again whenever he wants to play it.
