Do better Maxon
I expect more from part of a service most of us are paying over $1000 a year for to use. If this was a “toy” app i can understand it rarely syncing to C4D and crashing when trying to export anything more than 15 seconds. Clearly they must not maintain this app and have no plans on improving it. This app has so much potential I really wish they would develop it accordingly.

Half Donkey app…
Really wanted to give it 5 stars but its missing the most crucial piece. Exporting!!! There is no easy way to transfer these files to Cinema4D. Cinema4D 2024 doesnt have the extension in the app. What a shame. Two thumbs down.

It works again! What has it been like a year? And that’s on an iPhone 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max! Well yes, it works again, thank you Maxon - that at least is a starting point. Very happy to be capturing full body again, they just need to smooth it out now. Still needs a lot of key reductions to not appear jerky, and has trouble any time you cross your arms in front of your body. Also, seems to be ‘anchored’ to your mid-waist, leaving your feet floating around; if they could get feet planted on the ground somehow it’d be much much better! But, still, for now I’m happy I can use it again :)

The app is not transfer face Mocap data at all, tested with r26 , r25 , r23

I just installed on my iphone 11 pro, I have a mac m1 and C4D r26, and I was unable to pair it.
Love the app. Terribly unstable
Uploading only reliably works in R23. It will crash when you try to connect to any later versions of C4D.

Blend shapes not working
This could be very cool but unfortunately it is completely useless. Blend shapes tab isn’t working so if you plan on using this to drive anything else forget about it

New version of that program don’t work with cinema 25 Don’t downloading face captures Previously version have worked with cinema 23 Now it auto updated to new version and now it totally not working
Doesn’t work
Just blew the $1200 on Maxon One. Redshift doesn’t work (license not activated). And now this doesn’t work either. It won’t connect to C4D. Just a blank white screen. Useless. Feeling ripped off for such hi $ software.
Any support how to install
Try to connect my iPhone 13 Pro Max with a R25 on my iMac 27 OS Monterey. Still waiting to connect on the port number .. Both devices on same wifi network.. it will be great to get support.

Can’t get working
Haven’t been able to connect this with my desktop app. Haven’t found any good resources or guides to address this.
Works great but am missing blend shape data
I can bring in my face and it transfers over and moves as it’s supposed to. Issue is in the Blend Shapes tab, there is no data/numbers such as for blink, jaw open etc. Therefore I can’t transfer my face blend shapes data on to another face.
I have an iPhone XS Max, tried Cinema 4d R25,24, and 23. Essentially making this unusable until fixed.

I’ll change this review once the problem is fixed but at the moment you can’t login to this app.
I pay thousands a year to Maxon for utilities like this and there is a fundamental bug preventing the app from even opening!

Quite useful app with missing killer feature
Facial mocap is on point, delivering useful animation data. I still have to experiment with body mocap because it seems a bit sporadic. I use an iPad Pro 2021 and I thought that the LIDAR sensor would yield better results, if it is utilized at all. With future improvements in hardware I’m sure we can achieve excellent body mocap. However, using the iPad as a virtual camera inside Cinema 4d would be a killer feature. If it is possible to implement, it would easily double the value of the app. Thank you.

Forces you to consent to marketing
This app forces you to consent to be contacted for marketing by phone or email before you even get into the app the first time. It states that you can opt out anytime, but if that were true, it seems as though it wouldn’t be mandatory in the first place. I guess they want to build up a mailing list and then let you opt out. I just deleted it, and it makes me less likely to try any other apps by this company.

It’s only supported on mulch later phones as it need the Ir camera.
