Amazing app! Blender support needed.

Thank you for your kind words, we're really glad you enjoy using Naomi! Regarding missing textures, this usually happens when the original model file doesn't have textures embedded. If you export your models as GLB with textures packed in, they should come through correctly. If you run into a specific case, feel free to share it on our Discord and we'll help you figure it out. As for Blender support, Blender's native .blend files are a proprietary format that only Blender can open. However, Naomi fully supports GLB and FBX, which are the standard formats you can export from Blender. So your Blender models can already be used in Naomi without any issues. Thanks for reporting this, and sorry about the crashes. Losing your work in the middle of rigging is infuriating and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Two things would help us track it down: which step it dies on (placing the markers, binding the skin, or saving the result), and roughly how heavy your model is. Worth ruling out first is the weight of the model itself. Rigging is the heaviest thing Naomi does on the device, and you are running it on a phone or a tablet, not a workstation. A mesh built for desktop, with a very high polygon count or several large textures, can push iOS over its memory limit exactly at the bind step, while a lighter version of the same model goes through without trouble. If you have a decimated or lower resolution version to test with, that is the fastest way to find out whether that is what you are hitting. In the meantime, save before you start the bind. There is no autosave during rigging, so a crash really does cost you everything since your last save. That is on us, not on you. If you can tell us the model, the step and your device, we will chase it down properly. Reports like yours are the ones that actually get bugs fixed. Best regards, team Naomi
Annoying
Can’t even start
Problem
I really want to like Naomi Animation, but I’m having a very frustrating problem with the Camera Node. The guide/line overlays will disappear in the normal viewport, but when I go into the Camera Node, they are still there, and I cannot figure out how to remove them.
I’ve tried different settings, restarting the app, and looking through tutorials, but nothing has fixed it. I also pay for Naomi Premium, so I would really appreciate some support with this.
Naomi developers, please reply to this review or contact me with instructions so we can fix this problem. I’m happy to explain exactly what is happening or provide screenshots. I really want to keep using the app, but I need help getting the Camera Node to work properly.

Hi José, thank you for a genuinely useful report, and for sticking with it. Here is what is happening and how to get rid of them. Overlay visibility in Naomi is per view, not global. Each viewport keeps its own setting, so hiding the guides in the main viewport does not carry over to the Camera Node, which has its own. That is why they keep coming back when you go in there. To clear them inside the Camera Node: make sure nothing is selected first, then open the pie menu, and the hide-effectors and hide-grid items will be there. That last detail is the reason it looked like there was no option at all, because while something is selected the pie menu shows selection actions instead and those two items are not among them. Deselect, open the pie, and you can switch them off for that view. If that is not what you are describing, a screenshot would settle it straight away, and it would tell us whether you mean the grid, the effector gizmos, or something else. For that, and for anything like it in future, we would really recommend joining our Discord community. Replies here are slow by design: your review and our answer both go through Apple's review before either appears, so a simple back and forth takes days. On Discord there is nothing in between. We currently answer within a day, and other members are often much faster than we are. We also agree this is more confusing than it should be. Overlays living per view is defensible, but having to deselect before the option appears is not obvious, and we have noted it. Best regards, team Naomi
