This app has everything you need for cataloging your movie collection. Simple easy to use. I recommend this app if you have a large movie collection.

This would be a 5-star app easily if it had a way to directly exclude in filters.

Needs updating on the proper covers for 4ks and and dvds having to change it constantly to the write ones

You should have a Windows 11 version. Except for this app, all of my data is maintained on my PC.
I love this app
I have autism and i really love that i can log what movies and shows i own and have seen and what to watch next i also really love scanning barcodes its soo adictive i have a request for the developers have you considerd making an app like this but for video games ide love to be able to scan my collection and sort by manufacture like nitendo or xbox ect

A really great app. Thank you for not using a subscription model — that’s exactly what makes it so appealing to me.
The categories and tags you can assign, as well as the option to add custom text fields, are very well thought out and truly useful. For film collectors, this app is absolutely top-notch.
I might even buy the books app as well. I’m genuinely impressed — big compliments to the developers!

More than worth it!!!
I looked into many different options and decided to go with this one. I’m so glad I did! I have over 1,000 movies and being able to stack them all up and scan them in makes it so easy! I swear every time I think “I wish they had a button to do this” I find the button! I have absolutely zero complaints! It does not recognize absolutely every movie and I honestly wouldn’t expect it to. But adding a movie by searching or manually is super quick and simple. This app has been a complete game changer!

Findet viele Filme nicht
Da ich sehr viele Filme besitze und diese ordentlich archivieren wollte, hab ich mich von der Beschreibung und den Videos die es dazu gibt, entschieden mit MovieBuddy zu arbeiten. Leider muss ich sagen das hier vieles noch nicht klappt. Von 10 Filmen muss man meistens 2-4 selber suchen weil es über das scannen nicht klappt. Es werden keine Versionsunterschiede gefunden und oft mal ein komplett anderer Film angezeigt. Insgesamt stimmt das Layout hier schon sehr gut. Viele Infos zu den einzelnen Filmen und Schauspieler usw… Sehr gut findet ich die option, zu jedem Film gleich einen Trailer abrufen zu können. Im Großen und Ganzen ist die App schon gut. Die Scannfunktion noch verbessern und mehr Versionen zur Auswahl stellen bezüglich welches Medium man hat, also Bluray, DVD oder gar 4g/UHD.

Easy to use! I liked your book app so much I bought the bundle! What about an app for podcasts and podcast episodes? Let us know when you have it
Phone upgrade problem
Basically, if you upgrade your phone make sure that all iCloud and sync and all of that is up to date. I thought mine was until I tried logging in and lost everything. I had thousands of movies logged and it took HOURS to add everything. It’s all gone. I won’t re-add everything just for the possibility of losing everything again. I do not recommend this app.

Elle est très agréable à utiliser et a une interface moderne et ergonomique.
Tous mes films sont présents.
Pour ceux qui veulent indiquer si il s'agit d'un Blu-Ray, d'un Blu-Ray 4K, ou DVD, je vous conseille de créer des étiquettes et ensuite d'afficher cette information en dessous de chaque titre, en faisant ça à mes yeux ça devient très pertinent.

Needs to be able to import DVD Profiler data
I've been looking for an app that imports DVD Profiler data but sadly this one doesn't, only imports CSV data. If it did I would consider using it, but since it doesn't, I don't.

Ich finde Movie Buddy pro eigentlich sehr gut.
Nicht überladen und arbeitet zuverlässig.
Was ich vermisse, ist das ich eine eigene Film- Nr. vergeben kann.
So wie ich meine Filme auch zu Hause nummeriert habe.
Ich möchte bestimmen, welcher Film die Nr“X“ bekommt.
Vllt., habe ich es auch übersehen 🤷♂️.
Leider muss ich Sterne abziehen, weil ich auf meine Anmerkung immer noch kein Feedback erhalten habe.
Ich vermisse die Möglichkeit meine DVD‘s zu nummerieren, weil ich alle meine DVD‘s nach Nummerierung Sortiert und Archiviert habe.
Diese Möglichkeit sollte die App erfüllen.
Es wäre schön zu sehen, dass dies umgesetzt würde.

Thank you for your feedback. Please note that this is fully supported as there is a dedicated numeric field named “User-Supplied ID” that you can use to uniquely identify your movies. It’s available while editing the movie, scrolling all way down, and selecting Add Field > User-Supplied ID. Also note: (1) You can make this field always available under the “Edit Movie” / “New Movie” page by selecting Settings > General > Fields to Edit > User-Supplied ID. (2) You can sort your movies by the “User-Supplied ID” field via the “Sort By” page. (3) You can quickly find a specific movie on the main Search page by entering its “User-Supplied ID” value. For further assistance contact us via MovieBuddy > Settings > Send Feedback.

I’m a long time user of My Movies Pro movie database app, but had enough of their never ending subscription / paid annual update pricing model.
I’m also a long time user of MusicBuddy pro for my CD catalogue, so decided to switch my movie database to MovieBuddy pro.
Exported a csv title list from My Movies, imported it into MovieBuddy Pro, no problem 😁.. then discovered there is no way in MovieBuddy to autofill metadata for the imported titles. 😱So I have a MovieBuddy database of 1300+ titles that I now have to manually enter, title by individual title,to get the metadata added as part of the manual ‘add record’ process. 🤷♂️That feels like a deal breaking app limitation to me. .. I could be returning to the My Movies Pro app.
