Terrible customer service!
Wish I could post pictures of the conversation between myself and their support person. Voiced my concern of the app freezing on me even after doing the app update, support kept saying “I have never heard this before” and asked for details. I said I’ve been trying out a few new apps since TV Time shut down and this freezing wasn’t giving me good vibes. Last response was “Ah Well, Goodbye then”! I wouldn’t waste your time with this app.

Testée suite à la fin de TVTime, et directement adoptée. Design excellent, des mises à jours solides, aucun bug, minimaliste comme il faut !
We need poster art grid view please
Coming from tv time and the import was pretty smooth it looks like. First thing that caught my eye though was unless I’m not seeing it, for tv shows it would be nice to have an option for the poster art in the home section instead of the episode art. I love that there is a grid option cause I always preferred that layout.
Love to see already a “haven’t watched in awhile” section. One issue though is there is no sort for that to last watched sorting. Next unless I don’t see I still hope we get a “haven’t started” section next.
Update it would also be nice if when holding on a show in the home or library changing the library status wasn’t multiple clicks. Would be nice to just have it there right away when long pressing. Also another qol of life change would be a way to select multiple shows at a time under library cause so many of my shows didn’t go to “gave up” or “paused” to match tv times

Like almost everyone, I’m so sad TV Time is shutting down but at the same time I’m glad because I found this app. It’s great, I’ve been using it for a few hours trying to update my library and fix my imports and I must say the UI is spectacular, well done! I hope it won’t be one of those apps that will stop getting updates only to disappear with time. We need nice apps like this!!!

Ayant testé une tonne d’applications pour répertorier mes séries et films vus j’ai vraiment eu un coup de cœur sur celle ci ! Elle est super bien faite ! Juste j’aurai aimé pouvoir mettre que j’ai vu une série ou un film plusieurs fois sans avoir besoin d’être en premium sinon vraiment j’adore 🥰

I was on TV Time but am now scrambling to find a new TV and movie tracker. So far this app is wonderful and I will probably be using this for the future!

Super polished
Just downloaded it as I’m trying to find a new way to track my watch habits. It feels a little pushy on the premium features but I can appreciate that the developer can’t just do everything for free. The interface is insanely polished and responsive. Highly recommended and can’t wait to see the new social features enabled.

TV Time est parti et il le fallait à tout prix un remplaçant. Je suis parti sur Trakt mais les fonctionnalités et les stats n’étaient pas assez complètes. Cette application fait extrêmement bien le travail ! La seule chose qui me manque, c’est l’aspect communautaire: Donner son avis, voir les avis des autres membres, suivre mes amis et voir leur historique de visionnage + leurs notes attribuées. J’espère honnêtement retrouver tout cela dans le futur de l’application car c’est un aspect très important. Mais pour l’instant l’application est très bonne !!

Exactly what I wanted!
Cinephile is stunning! It’s super clean UI is just perfect and sometimes I just go through films and tv shows just to look at the UI. It’s got so many features that I love (Trakt Integration) and nothing has turned my head since.

I tried 9 different apps, this is BY FAR the best UI and ease of use. Very customisable, very smooth and slick. AND YOU CAN IMPORT YOUR LIST from TV Time.
I was stressing that none of the “replacement” apps would be as easy to use as what I’m used to, but y’all THIS IS THE REPLACEMENT.

This is hands-down the best app I’ve used for tracking shows and movies, it’s completely replaced TV Time for me following its closure. It’s loaded with thoughtful, well-designed features, and the developer is genuinely responsive, actively welcoming suggestions and feedback to keep improving things. I love how engaged he is with the community, taking user input seriously even though the app already feels incredibly polished and complete. On top of all that, the UI is gorgeous! (I don’t usually leave comments on the app store, but I had to ahah!)

Sad Circumstances, but I’m VERY Glad I Found This App.
After the announcement of TV Time’s discontinuation, I began looking for something to “replace it” in my heart, and I soon found Cinephile.
I love the design, UI, look, and feel. It’s just so charming, and it’s really the only app I can see myself continuing my TV and Film journey with. It’s just so beautiful and clean.
I can only really think of a few things to make my experience on this amazing app better.
1. To my knowledge there isn’t a way to post/read public comments on Films, Shows, or Individual Episodes and I would really like that, as to feel a better sense of community in the app.
2. I would really like a companion website so I could access Cinephile outside of IOS devices.
3. From my research, It doesn’t seem that this app uses any AI features or content, and I prefer it that way. I just hope it stays AI free…
Regardless of if my wants come true, I will be using this app quite a lot and I’m excited for my future using it. Thank you for the amazing app!! <3

Thank you so much! 🥹 What happened to TV Time was indeed unfortunate, but I’m very glad to be able to provide an alternative for the community. Thank you for choosing Cinephile 🍿 As for the feedback you’re providing, I’m very happy to tell you that all three points are very much considered. There’s a community feature in the works, and a companion site (while currently slated for much later on) is also being considered. As for AI features, the app only uses Apple’s in-house Foundation models, which is basically a completely private AI assistant that lives on your phone and doesn’t communicate with external services like Open AI or Anthropic. It serves only to give you a summary of your statistics. Kind regards, Mario
