Usable!

EDIT: The dev fixed the issue that i had below and I’m able to use the app, thanks!

To create an account, it requires a passcode sent to my email. The email sent by the app is an email change confirmation, not a passcode. Cannot progress further in account creation (which also means I can’t do anything in the app).

The Vinyl Collection App I Was Looking For

Solid vinyl app. Cover recognition, collection value tracking, listening history all in one place. Clean and fast. Been looking for something like this for a while

Response from developer

Thanks for the kind words! Glad the cover recognition and value tracking are working well for you.

It’s okay

I had high hopes for this, as the interface is so much cleaner and user friendly compared to discogs. Then you realize you can’t even see your own collection without paying a monthly subscription. No one’s gonna pay monthly when discogs already exists.

Response from developer

Thanks for the feedback — we appreciate you giving MOVINYL a try. You can start with a free trial to explore the app and view your collection before deciding if it’s something you’d like to continue using.

Can’t unsubscribe.

Downloaded the app and decided it wasn’t for me. Then the emails started. Tried to unsubscribe through the email unsub link. That didn’t work so I through I’d try through a web browser. Can’t get to their site. Very frustrating.

Response from developer

We’re sorry for the frustration. This was caused by an issue with a email service, and it has now been fixed. If you’re still receiving emails, please reach out to us and we’ll take care of it right away.

Why??

Why would I pay for this if Discogs is free? Not certain, but seems to be getting price info from Discogs. It transferred my catalogue from Discogs so I’m assuming it’s transferring other things as well. Was excited about this but not sure what paying for something I get for free already makes any sense.
