Hate To Rate Mozilla Poorly
I have been a fan of Mozilla for many decades but the VPN just doesn’t work. I have a to turn it off and back on every time I wake my phone up. It doesn’t stay connected on my computer, and half the websites I go to won’t load with it on. It’s just useless.
Couldn’t even sign up
Probably because of iCloud Private Relay, got this error message from Fastly instead: Oops, something went wrong. Please check your connection, disable any ad blockers, or try using a different browser.
Solid VPN
Very satisfied with the functionality, and Mozilla’s commitment to privacy and security is key for me.
What happened?
I used to love this VPN and lately it doesn’t work. It doesn’t connect and then I get customer support from India when they used to be here in America. I also just renewed, but I think I’m going to ask for a refund because I can’t connect. The VPN is not working
Immediate regret
Waste of money. Have tried over 20 locations at this point and haven’t connected to a single one. Don’t waste your time or money on this one, I’ll go back to Nord.
Simple, but it does everything I need.

Can’t even sign up as website won’t load, and I’m even using Firefox!!

New updates not optimal. Unable to customize in order allow change access as previously versions. Now you cannot change to decrease the threshold. So aggressive I cannot even open apps and Google at all. It’s great to have a von but if I can’t use my device then there won’t be any need for security. Please let us have some decision on this.

Caution: fails if your Mozilla email matches your App Store account
I paid for Mozilla VPN through the App Store. The subscription is active and charged, but the app does not recognize it and says I have no plan.
I contacted Mozilla support the same day. After 30 days, multiple emails, and full documentation (receipts, screenshots), nothing has been fixed. Responses come every 7–10 days, repeating the same questions, with no real action.
Result: I paid for a service I have never been able to use.
This is not a minor bug — it’s a complete failure in subscription handling and support. Avoid.

Doesn’t Work
Wasted $10. Won’t connect to any server that the app offers. Other VPN providers work fine.

Nearly none of the paid VPN services can be relied on to be and stay good. At least this one is from a basically trustable source and has a pretty low annual fee. 🙄
I just switched to Proton VPN. It is objectively better than Mozilla VPN on all my devices, including iPhone and Mac.

No Sign in with “Apple”?
If on the website I create an account with Sign in with Apple, but your app doesn’t support that sign in method, I’m not sure I understand how that works? Or why’d you make it like that?
