Best rules and card rulings app, worth the subscription cost
While I can understand the frustrations of more recent reviewers RE: the recurring subscription, keeping an app and its database/content updated for 17 (!!!) years is no small feat, especially with how many sets wotc are releasing these days.
For me, paying a small yearly fee to ensure this app is kept up to date is a very small concession ESPECIALLY for how often I am pulling it out at game nights to look up cards, go over specific rules, etc.
It also doesn't have any other annoying "features" (read: clutter and useless slop) that so many other MTG-related apps are bloating themselves with.
It is extremely good at the thing you want it to do. Highly recommend, good job dev!

Great app for judging
Same as title.
Subscription Fees
Changed to a subscription fee set up and removed features for people who had already paid for those features. And it wasn’t a cheap app either.
Subscription fatigue
This isn’t really something that needs a subscription? Previously paid for all features to be unlocked, and now dev wants a monthly payment to get them back. I’ll be moving to ManaBox as a free alternative.
Charges customers who already purchased
It's not right to now charge players who previously bought this app. Very poor business practice. I don't recommend this app anymore.
1-star
My reading of one star does not reflect the usability and functionality of the app. It reflects the way the app makes me feel.
Having used this app for over a decade, it is a bit upsetting to have the sudden switch to a subscription.

It was Awesome… now they took away functionality on a laid app!
Paid for the app, they updated with a subscription and TOOK AWAY functionality of the previously paid app!!! I paid for the app… it worked great!… then they took away things they sold me!
Gekauft und nun Abo
Absoluter Betrug. Als Vollversion gekauft und jetzt soll es plötzlich ein abartig teures Abo sein? Was soll der Quatsch?
Greedy Scam
Purchased App years ago and no new features have been added. All information on here is scraped off of Gatherer.c om. Nothing new is provided by the app. And now they want to charge you a subscription fee after paying in full for that app, or they won’t “update” it with new cards a rules. No work is done on their end. It’s just a copy paste of the rules. Total scam. They should shut this app down and start a new one, but they know no one will use the new one if they have to pay a second time. Scummy tech people, finding a way to charge you to use an app you bought in full years ago.

Premium app no more
Paid for this app quite a few years back with the expectation it would be supported for the price I paid. Instead the dev wants to charge for information Wizards makes available for free and other apps make available for free. Bye!
Now Paywalled.
Moved to subscription, now not usable after purchasing the app. Terrible.
Awesome MTG app!
All in one MTG resource for card info, rules, IPG, and others!
Requires subscription for core features after you bought it
The features of the app itself are totally fine, so I bought it a while ago as a convenience tool, even though all of its Information can easily be accessed, via a google search. But now it locks information about cards from new sets behind a subscription, which makes it useless for me. I am fine with offline card images being a premium Feature, as downloading images is costly for servers, but updating a copy of the scryfall database is something extremely cheap that even I can do.
I recommend just using scryfall.com for the card iformation and the online available comprehensive Rules.

Do not buy! SCAM!!
App functionality was removed after full payment and now requiring a subscription. Scam!!
Best Magic App for Rules and Judges
Easy access to all cards, errata, rulings, comprehensive rules, and everything. You name it, this app has it. It’s not there for collating your collection or deck building, but for those interested in the nuts and bolts and details of the game, there’s nothing like it!
no Card Updates
Card updates require premium subscription
Subscription Slop ruined app
I bought the app, now they remove features AND UPDATES unless you sign up for a subscription. Hell no
Charging old customers who paid for the app
I paid for the full app many years ago and now I can’t view card images anymore and is asked to pay for a premium subscription. I don’t think it’s right to remove a feature for old customers who give you money.
So long
YEARS of use, now everything requires a subscription. New set updates, images, what’s next?
Good app
The premium is super cheep and nice, but you don’t even need it, makes skimming the comp rules wayyyyy easier
