Worked until I actually wanted to use it

this was all set up for a large gathering but the day of the event, printed out multiple QR code sheets started telling everyone about it but then the app kept crashing loading a playlist tried 3 different iPads and 2 different phones. Had to DJ the party myself.

Response from developer

Hi Weakcore, we’re really sorry to hear about your experience – especially since you had set everything up for a big event. That’s definitely not the kind of reliability we want to provide. We’d love to look into what went wrong with the playlist loading and crashes so we can fix this. Could you please reach out to us at support@mubo-app.com? We’ll do our best to make sure this doesn’t happen again and to get things working smoothly for you. Thanks a lot for taking the time to share this feedback – it helps us improve.

Music Saturday

Just brilliant music…

Very Glitchy

App does not seem to play well with Spotify. It will randomly stop at the end of a song and refuse to play the next. Stuck in endless loop of the same song over and over again even if I close out the app and Spotify and start over.

Response from developer

Did you try our tips to fix the Spotify issues? You definitely need the right settings in the Spotify App to get it running. 📱 Spotify Loop Fix Guide: 1. In Your Spotify App Settings: * Open Spotify app * Go to Settings > Playback * Turn OFF the following settings: • Gapless Playback • Automix • Autoplay similar content 2. In Spotify Player: * Check the Repeat button * Make sure it's turned OFF (should not be highlighted) 3. App Updates: * Ensure your Spotify app is updated to the latest version * Check your app store for any pending updates Additional Tips: * If the issue persists after trying these steps, try closing and reopening both mubo and Spotify * Make sure both apps have the necessary permissions enabled

Amazing! Deserves everyone to support it!

Exactly what I was looking for. Love the Apple Music integration, and the fact that guests can add songs to the playlist! Amazing job!

Response from developer

Thank you so much 🙏

Perfect for summer parties!

We use Mubo connected to the speakers in our backyard when we have pool parties, and it’s amazing! I have a base “vibe” playlist, and others are able to add their own songs to the playlist however often they wish. LOVE that it integrates with Apple Music!

FAQ

What does mubo do?

mubo allows users to create or join shared music playlists for parties and events. It enables guests to vote on songs, influencing the order in which they are played. The app aims to make music listening a collaborative experience.

How does the voting system work?

The core idea is that the song with the most votes moves to the top of the playlist. To keep the experience dynamic, a cooldown period resets all votes after a fixed time, allowing everyone to vote again.

Can guests add their own songs?

Yes, if the music box creator allows it, guests can add their own music to the Musicbox. This further enhances the collaborative nature of the app, letting attendees contribute to the soundtrack.

What music services can I use with mubo?

You can easily add music from popular streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Audius, and YouTube to your Musicbox. This provides a wide range of options for curating your party's soundtrack.

Is mubo free to use?

The application is free to download and use, with the option for in-app purchases. This allows users to enjoy the core collaborative music features without an upfront cost.
